Slicks On 33 Gtr

guys

i want to order some tyres for my 33 gtr. Running 18 x 10.5" rims so from what i've read/heard the best bet is michelin 27/65-18's. I've also been told to try to squeeze the 27/68-18's on/in but i think it's going to be too tight.

Anyone used either size on a 33 gtr?

the 27/65's are a better fit. the 68's are heaps tall. you may get them under the back, but the front will be an issue.

they could be called a 280/60/18... where as the 27/65 is more like a 45 series.

getting them new is ok but for second hand, abit tricky as only 2 cars in gt and production sports use them. gt3 rsr gt car and the supra i used to work on in production sports.

I have some 2nd hand ones that I haven't had a chance to use yet.

Going to buy a new set for drive Bathurst

My other option is to buy some 285 re55's but the car is going to have 400awkw.

Which set of tyres will last longer? I would be getting the s9 Michelin

Also, European guys in Melbourne are charging 660 each for the slicks. Can anyone else import them?

im not sure, we bought ous from the michalin guy at the track.

285 re55's ordered. running out of cash to upgrade the spring rates and check bearings etc etc before drive bathurst. going to run with a tyre i know and will look to upgrade when time/bank balance allows.
