You my friend are in luck......i have a spare igniter pack and creank angle sensor you can try, but i'm not sure how well the sensor will work as it hit the ground when i pulled it of my spare motor. If you want i can drop them off on my way home from tafe tomorrow arvo (finish at 4:50) so just txt or PM me the addy.

hmmm didnt think of the FPR... it could be letting too much fuel through.

will add that to the list

I also have a spare FPR you can try if you want? if manage to get it off my spare motor tomorrow night.

hey all.. my car is doing the similar things, missing firing after 4000 rpm in second gear. and blowing out lot of black smokes.

also wants to know what wrong with it.. any one got any ideas?

What kind of car? If it's turbo check all the intercooler pipeing, coils, plugs etc

sounds like intercooler piping nick maybe a small split on the elbow, had the same thing thought it was fuel pump because i only got it when in higher revs not on idle

its a r32 gtst, changed fuel pump and fuel regulator, so they are not the problem.

so next i might have to check all the intercooler piping, should i change all the silicon?

i have put in just jap coil packs like 2 yrs ago..so im not too sure if they are still any good.

i might check all piping when i have day off.

Check all the intercooler pipeing and if any of the silicone hoses look f**ked I would replace them.
