Front End Noise! Grinding!

Hey guys, bought a r32 GTR 1993 the other day,

There is a weird griding noise coming from what seems like the front of the car, it sounds worse when going slowly or pulling up, but i ruled out the brakes as it does it whether brakes are on or off. same sound.

and does it whether the car is in gear/ out of gear/ clutch in/ clutch out/ would it be a bearing? or can something else more serious make this sound?

Car has done 62000 genuine kms. and overall is in immac condition.

Wheel bearing or CV joint sound likely. Unusual at 62k, but I suppose it is 18 years old now.

Thanks, thats what i suspected, it had been sitting in a garage for near on 4 years with little use, and to get it home i did a high speed long 700kms journey. so im guessing that could have done it.

had exactly the same thing, ruled out all the same things like you have, got inner wheel bearings ( or whatever they are called ) replaced, still same noise, ended up being brakes, seals where stuffed and piston wasn't releasing properly.. your seals are coming up to 20 years old could be worth a check?

it does feel like there is some dragging aswell, its going in thursday so il tell them to check bearings and caliper pistons/brakes.
