Heya all :)

I'm looking for a built RB26 (NOT RB26/30).

Must have forged pistons, built properly (new bearings/seals etc) and have receipts for the bits I cannot see upon inspection.

I don't mind if it's used, or new, BUT it must be built for reliability.

A short or long motor would be great, although I'd consider a complete setup.

It'll be running N1 turbos for racing, so ported heads and big single setups aren't useful.

Prefer NSW, ACT, Vic or Sth Qld location.

Hopefully something comes up before I have to rebuild my motor!

I have money waiting, I'm not here to f**k chickens...

Thanks for looking :)

Mark!!

Mate contact Beer Baron. Hes been trying to sell an engine for almost a year which would suit your needs. I have dealt with Richard and he is pretty trusting i guess lolol :D

Its a complete N1 engine and the block alone is worth about $3500 by itself.... motor was built by a Jap workshop so it should be alright.

hey mate i know your chasing an engine but i have a jun built head here. i bought from japan last year. i have no receipts but the sales ad stated that it came from a jun 2.7l and i have discovered the cams in it are jun 10.5mm 272s. the head has been decompressed and machined to fit the cams. it has standard valves and cam caps. from what the jun website tells me the springs and retainers need to be upgraded for these cams. but i cant verify this.it has no covers or gears. im chasing around 2g. but will accept a standard head as part payment. call or text me on 0401396905 if you want any more info or want to inspect it. thanks Dale

    • 75% complete. Will now need to get a new axle with 5x114.3 hubs and then figure out how to customize some mudguards for it once the wheels are on.
    • Trailer prep is underway... Lined up the wheel to get a rough indication of how it would sit Then removed all the bits (as far as possible) and gave the frame a light sand and quick lick of paint   Then added some carpet
    • okay, so I figured this out, removed needles and reinstalled after swapping the gauge face on my triple gauge for my ER34, all work and look good. I tried to do the same for the main cluster, but the main cluster gauge faces are dished, the replacement gauge face are flat, so due to the dish in the org face ,mounting backing plate (clear) and depth of the needle, the flat gauge face will not work. I notice that R34 gtr gauges are flat, appears to be different clear backing plate that aren't dished. are these available, or what have others done to install flat gauge faces?
    • Cheers mate. Seems some people get lucky others don't. It looks like the motor was detonating (to be expected if it was overboosting I suppose) as the pistons had a lot of detonation damage, and the bearings were stuffed. The bores were very scoured too, not sure if that's from the pistons or bits of ceramic turbo. By the by now. Have been trying to avoid the rabbit hole too much on the rebuild, and there's been a few hurdles along the way, but with any luck I'll have the car back soon™. Might even pop up a thread then.
    • Thanks, these seem to lay it out a bit differently. I will get back to you guys after i do some tests and more digging.
