hey boys and girls

i am thinking of buying a rb25 for dirt cheap, and all that is wrong with it is low comp in no 5, suspected rings or ring lands

what are my chance with this motor, could i just replace rings and pistons and it will be all good?

on the comp test it was 70 and with wet test 90

any help would be great thanks

Gordon

if the problem is the ring lands or rings theres an extremely low chance of it being a simple replace the piston and put new rings on situation, the bore will be marked quite abit and the only way to remove them is to bore out the cylinders and fit oversized forged pistons

if its a valve problem then u may get away with a hone and new rings onto the current pistons (assuming the pistons arent damaged)
