Viper 5902 i believe is the latest remote start alarm they offer and you can buy/install it for a little over $1,000 from Autobarn i'm sure if you shop around you can get it purchased and installed for bit cheaper but expect to be paying around $800 if not a bit more. Cheapest prices would probably be off eBay use a trusted seller there around $500 (AU seller) delivered or $370 from USA expect to pay a good $400 if not more for a proper installation.

Oh ok thanks for the help.

Any opinions on that model guys?

I was looking at the model below that one, the 5701, and a lot of the reviews I read talked about it being easy to hit the buttons accidentally in your pocket meaning you could accidentally unlock the car or even start it (they come with remote start) so I decided to steer away from it. I think the remote start also means they are not ADR compliant. If you search a bit on google you should find some reviews.

nix. DEI have a policy of not installing O'seas purchased items. I figure most of MLB would apply to this AND you still have to get the install book for it as that DOES NOT come with it.

And how do I go about getting a install book?

you don't. DEI gives them to the dealers as they do them. no one else has them and they are damn hard to get.

they did this to curb the grey market stuff. 5902 is not a beginners alarm and its not insurance friendly either.

SAU-Vic member discount one?

Legal alarm for insurance, installed & supplied for around $300. Can't beat it.

Spending mega $$$ on an alarm achives little. A good alarm, poorly installed is worse than a cheaper alarm installed better.
