So he was playing with the hand controller.

Definately check that ur correct afm is selected. It is VERY easy to accidentally select another afm when fiddling with the controller.

Check this ASAP

I've checked the controller and it's set to R34 AFM. Being it's a Neo motor, I assumed this to be correct. The AFR has a pink sticker which I was sure is an R34 AFM. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'll begin going through Daniel's list tonight. I'll begin by putting in new plugs and see if that helps. I'll also check for spark on each one as I go which will rule in or out a spark problem. Then I'll check fuel after the FRP. Is there only one FPR on RBs? There are three canisters which look like FPRs.

I'd pretty pretty darn amazed if it was a compression issue. I do know motors and I know what compression problems are like and this sure as shit feels nothing like a compression problems, so I'll leave that till last (I don't have a comp gauge so I'll try easy things before I buy one).

To be honest, I haven't checked fuses. Again, there's not much which suggests fuses, but I'll check them all tonight with a light to rule them out anyway.

I've also pulled most of the intake off to check for splits but there are one or two I haven't (I have tried to climb under and feel/see any problems but I'll pull em off and have a look).

It's got 3/4rs of a tank of juice. I filled up on the way home from picking it up three weeks ago.

IT f**kING LIVES!!!

God damn, mother f**king spark plugs were ferschnickered.

It's running like a good thing. Revs cleanly, although I think it needs a darn good dyno session.

God damn, that car is awesome. Not as punchy as the R33, but that's to be expected due to the extra bulk.

I'm in love!

Many, many, many thanks for everyone's assistance. It's been an interesting exercise and I've learned a shite load about RBs.

I'm still going to give it a good going over, as per some of the advice, to ensure everything is tip top.

As an addendum to this, I have just got around to changing the coilpacks and the car is now "fixed".

It was still missing at times under load and I couldn't mash the throttle or it would go spastic.

Whacked in a new set of YJs and iridiums today and it's running flawlessly. Absolutely perfect. I can mash it any gear, any revs and there's no whoa, just go and it bangs to the limiter again.

The damn thing flies. Now it's going flat out I reckon it is quicker than my 33. Lights up the rears easier (when in 2wd) and it has 245s Feddy RSRs vs 235s chinshongs on the 33.

I'm a happy camper.

    • Hey lads, reviving an old thread.  As an update, since the last time replied to this thread, ive done mostly suspension. Havent touched the motor except for maintenance. Though upon changing spark plugs, found out i had splitfires pre-installed! Updates: - Got me some stock airbox top cover and snorkel to fit onto the original intake. Should be free of defects - Bought a set of R34 GT-T brakes (not installed yet, going to rebuild + respray in champion blue + white 'Nissan' text) - Bought the last set of bilsteins from @Sydneykid and had them installed. Has been making some sounds on the rear but hopefully should be sorted out after this New Year break. - Regreased front caster rod bushings (poly bushes..) - Rear upper camber arms - Whiteline sway bars (BNF27Z 22mm + BNR11XXZ 24mm).  The rear sway bars are a bit short (ive read 50mm else where) but was still able to get them in.  Anyhows, I reckon suspension is sorted now. Maybe replace bushes (do have a set of front upper control arms from SK not installed yet) but should be okay for now. From now, I'm wanting to start working on the motor, drivetrain etc etc. Still debating on the order to go on and what to buy etc but: - ECU ( Haltech or Link ( Link states that it dont support A/T or AWD functions... Can anyone attest to this? ) - Highflow turbo ( ATR43ss2 ) - Intercooler ( Not decided yet, but cant find many good afoordable ones. Toshi says to opt for crossflow Japanese. Bit difficult this one, unless I get a returnflow Blitz from JJ? ) - Injectors ( Any recommendations ? I do have a nismo FPR ( Thanks SK ) ) - Seats - Tune by either Toshi or DVS To be fair, I did consider just keeping the stock turbo and nistuning it. Sat in a mates stock N, that had something like 200kw, and I reckon that felt more than enough. Maybe I should just go this route ahhaha. Too many choices.... Planning a trip down south, so wanting to just clean things up and make sure it gets to and from in one piece. Anything else specifically I should do before ? Cheers lads
    • Must be for the car’s lucky charm 🤷🏽‍♂️ She runs fine, but it just seems to take about 1L less. Maybe I’ll have the oil sump dropped at some point to check if there is anything
