I'd also like to put out a big thank you to Lozza150 who organised the Radio Advertising for this HUGE AWESOME event. We wouldn't have recieved the amount of people at this event if it wasn't for him.

Plus to the Central Coast locals that came out and made this event a success (just proves that not everone on the coast is a bogan at Terrigal on Thursday nights).

Also to Mingara for letting us use a lot of their facilites for this day.

And to the rest of the Organising committee, thanks for letting me help you guys with some of the organsing. I knew it was going to be a challange in organising some of the local stuff so I was happy to help out whereever I could.

Fantastic Day guys, lets make the next one even bigger..

Beaut day for Speed and we got stacks of pics although both Mark (the photographer) and I are toast.

Can't believe the turnout and so many really high quality cars as well! We have gotten a couple of feature cars out of this event and keep your eyes peeled around the 7th of June for SPEED 13.

Tops day blokes, now I'm off to buy shares in an Aloe Vera farm...

Well done to the organising committee. But the main kudos must go to Dan. The effort you put in for this was above and beyond the call. :P

The turn out was fantastic, I'm just sorry I had to work in the morning and didn't see it when the massive crowds were there. I was very relieved when I spoke to Dan in the morning and he informed me that there were 48 entries! :uh-huh:

It was great to see everyone pitching in at the end of the day and helping out too.

I'll echo Tosh's thanks to Jo-Ann from Powerplay for really promoting this event with her customers.

Thanks again to all the sponsors for providing the prizes and helping the make the day the great success it was.

Now to start thinking about next year....

Just adding my thanks to everyone who put the effort in, it was really good to see. I left Wagga at 4:30 in the morning and hammered it up there but as hard as that was, it wasn't a patch on what some of you guys did.

Thanks HEAPS! :P

Take the 'gtr' out of the URL and you will get the thumbnails (which don't work) but if you click on a thumbnail, the image comes up ! :(

Spectacular day out guys, the turnout in particular was awesome :P

HGE thanks to all the "officals" who put the day together.

Our pics are up at http://www.hgeconsulting.com.au/gtr/shownshine.htm

(Oh, and I look like a lobster too, but it was worth it :P )

Where's my best interior award

pardon my stupidity

    • Before I commit to it as I already have the wastegate off the car, would you change it to the 9psi spring instead of the 12, or whack it back on now and try your suggestion?
    • Sounds good Hmm suppose the main thing is, how much do you care about this car? The filler doesn't make for a very good water barrier lol. If there was a tiny little bit of rust forming now, that in 3 to 5 years time becomes obvious under the paint (starts to bubble up), would it bother you?
    • I already have the ability to datalog the voltage... what I can't do is correlate it to what the gauge is showing when I'm looking at the data at a later date. Or something like this. Except getting the oil to 125C+ involves me going 200+kmh at the track so you can imagine this is a little tricky unless I do something like note what the voltage is when I am at the top of 5th gear so I have a point to reference on. Drove car today. O2 still reading richer because hopefully not a leak instead of massive restriction I've introduced. Car really doesn't sound like a LS. It's quite strange. Pulled a bit of fuel out up top. This does potentially explain why my spark plugs looked like the car was running pretty over-rich. If I was tuning it to a ~12.7 which in reality was far richer than that in the past. It will be handy to have the dyno WB to compare my WB to to compare notes that's for sure. At this point I'm happy to just sit in the passenger seat and tune the thing given I've got about 7 million hours on the platform lol.
    • Yeah I understand you have to pay for an updated map or subscription service or something. But I can't even find a current map for Australia. My map is dated 2017, but didn't this car version still sell in Australia until 2021?   Also, just as an aside, the navigation system warns you of traffic incidences ahead.....why would they include that on a map they knew is not receiving live information. I am forever going to be warned of an incident that probably existed for 30 minutes 8 years ago.
