Fuel Cap Doesn't Go Pssh

i'm having the save PSSSSSH problem

i recently converted to E85 and ever since then it doesnt go pssshh and fuel economy is shit as well as faint smell of sweet ethanol in cabin.

is it normal for ethanol to not go psssh?

do you think it might also be that fuel cell o-ring not tight enough where the in-tank pump sits?

My O ring was crimped in my tank and not sealing, I got a faint petrol smell from that but what gave it away was the f**kload of fuel leaking from it. If your O ring is not sealing then it WILL leak when you fill the tank to full. Check out my repair guide in DIY section, its easy to find out if its the fuel cap. All fuel will expand and build pressure so it will go pssh.

cheers, i think it might be the fuel cell o-ring, coz i inspected the filler cap area and it seemed to be solid.

my mechanic opened the fuel cell area to install new pump, probs stuffed it!

Get a new one, once that shit kinks its kind of a bitch to work with. Not expensive from Nissan.

i opened up the fuel cell and it turns out the mechanic dropped the oring into the tank and didnt seal the twist on cap either.

replaced the oring so hopefully it will go PSSSSSHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!
