It would cost you so much your head would explode.

The box my kit came in was so big it didn't fit in a Mitsubishi Triton. It fit in a single cab falcon but with a fair bit hanging out the back.

Yeh im just getting side skirts tho so i wont need a massive box for the front and rear bars, i had my exhaust sent via USPS and it cost around $300 in total and that was really heavy, im thinking it would cost around 150-200 to USPS a set of side skirts over.

G'day Sheldon - Nice write up.

Looking and doing an uprev tune myself. i have contacted tokyo motorsports in Perth (Im from near melb) and they asked me to send over my ECU for an uprev "etune" - derstricting & throttle mapping tune.

Does that sound right?

BTW - aside of power - do you have some crisper response and a bit more above th 5000rpm zone?

I didn't have to send my ECU over, the guy i was dealing with just sent me a beggining map and i worked from there.

I found it 10x easier to spend the extra $250 and buy the tuners pack personally, then take it to a local tuner with a dyno and do test runs there.

eTune will never get you the same kind of tune as a tuning shop with a dyno.

5000+ is very responsive, definitely kicks you back around that marker.

Thanks For that - Starting to think the same about dyno operators.

Only problem of course is finding one in melbourne or sydeny!

Lookig at this stage that I might be making a trip up there to get it done.

Thanks for your help - also good to see another 70th owner.

Cheers

Nice. I have done all the mods as above minus the Exhaust (Only installed the ART Pipes for now).

Question about the Double Din and player.

I had this installed for me by an automotive audio/electrical professional. Everything works fine on the display but i cant get the original (Trip metre/leaf Display that pops up) to display anything

I did get a cheap $350 display unit that came with the lot... gps , reverse camera , dvd etc.

Did you use an adapter?

    • But if you've got the flex sensor whats the issue? You just run what you can get your hands on.  I can't see any reason not to run e85 if it's relatively local to where you live.
    • Exhaust end of this month, and then tune after that whenever there is availability. Still tossing up between a pure 98 tune or a flex 98/e85 combo.  The (lack of) milage in e85 isnt great. Start to get anxiety if i go for a long drive and there arent any united servo's nearby
    • I mean I can be OCD'y but this is really over the top. At that point why not just run a full wideband fuel controller? Especially if you run 3 widebands. The system works pretty well, which is trimming low load stuff to be within a few percent of the base map. Pre-engine _change_ the base map was only 1-2% off, depending on ambient temp, elevation, etc. Under load the LS is really very straightforward to tune, enough that a wideband closed loop would be overkill. If I really cared (and I hope I don't) I can always just go back to the MAF system the car actually came with. Which does all those nice calculations for me (temp, altitude, etc), now that you can buy 102mm MAF's that do not cause restrictions.
    • Good afternoon Team , just a quick update on performance mods  Current Mods list (Installed) HKS - Power Editor (Came with the car) looks to be some kind of boost controller RV37 Skyline 400R (SKYLINE) | FUJITSUBO  - Cat Back  RV37 Skyline 400R (SKYLINE) | FUJITSUBO  - Front Pipe AMS  - INFINITI Q50/Q60 RED ALPHA COLD AIR INTAKE KIT AMS  - Performance Heat Exchanger Intercooler Not Yet AMS Alpha Performance Full Race Down Pipes  - to be installed in May
    • I'd be installing 2x widebands and using the NB simulation outputs to the ECU.
