Wow damn $1435, is that including shipping? And grill you mean the mesh piece? Not a grill that replaces the oem one right? You getting poly or fb? Got any idea how long shipping takes? Sorry for all the questions as im looking at purchasing something similiar.

Thats including shipping to the California Port. lol. From Cali - Australia will be around $750 i think. Its the Mesh on the front bumper yeh. Not the Grill.

Its FB but i believe its a fairly strong FB Composite.

Shipping takes around 5 - 7 weeks. However once you order it also takes around 4 weeks for them to make the parts / ship them.

Nice, thanks for the info, just ordered, $2115 including shipping to Sydney, for:

  • Kuruma Z w/ Mesh Poly
  • Impul Sides Poly
  • Chargespeed Rear w/ Carbon

Now i wanna order the Kuruma Z cf splitter lool! Damn thats like 3 months wait =[ , and we're going to look like twins, cos i got a white V35 also haha !

But yea, thanks again for the help! Appreciated.

Ps. Did you tell them to lower the price on the invoice so you wont get taxed?

You dont have to tell them to lower it, all you do is get them to do an invoice for each part but post it together as it is multiple orders not coming to over 1000 each you should avoid the tax that way i would think.

Nah even if you send seperate boxes under different names but to same address they can still combine them the ass holes

Hey Guys,

I've finally finished my V35's performance build.

I know a lot of you are going to skip to the Dyno plot but i figured i'd write some things up anyway.

My car is a 2004 5/AT 70th Anniversary Premium Edition V35. I imported my car from Japan and got it complied at the start of July. Since ordering the car I came up with a large list and starting buying all the parts i required, most of which were installed before the car was registered in Australia.

The Journey

Stock in Japan

The Car was purchased from Japan on May 21st.

Arrived in Australia

The Car arrived in Australian waters on June 24th.

Stock Dyno Run

The Stock Dyno run was done before any performance parts were added to the car to get a starting Baseline. Keep in mind the run was done in 3rd Gear and from my understanding (Reading G35driver) the better gear is 4th.

Added Window Tint

Got the window tint to match the stock back windows of the V35.

Added Double Din Head Unit

Added a Kenwood 7inch double din unit.

Added Z-Tube & JWT Pop Charger

Purchased from the US. The Z-tube is the OEM stock tube from the 350Z and the JWT Pop Charger was something I debated about getting and finally chose it over the K&N Drop in Filter.

Added Plenum Spacer

Purchased from Motordyne Engineering in the US. The 5/16" Plenum spacer was a must have for performance gains.

Added Exhaust

Purchased from Motordyne Engineering in the US this was a 'must have' mod for me. The Shockwave TDX2)) coupled with the ART Tuning pipes also purchased from Motordyne Engineering to make an amazing sound and nice performance. The exhaust A) Looks Sexy and B) has no drone which makes it amazing on the highway.

Added Crank Pully

I purchased my lightweight Underdrive Crank Pully from Unorthodox Racing in the US.

Added TransGo Shift Kit

The shift kit was one of my 'for fun' mods. Definitely recommend it to anyone with an Auto. The car feels like it accelerates so much harder and the shifts are lightning fast and chirp the wheels when you're flat footed. Driving the car normally you wouldn't even know the kit was there.

Added Tune

The Car was tuned thanks to UpRev in America. A lot of hype surrounds the UpRev Osiris tune for the G35 so I decided to invest in it after looking into other avenues (Piggy back ECU's etc). I ended up purchasing the Standard Pacakage for $500 USD. After having communication issues with a great company in the UK that e-tuned my car with UpRev Osiris I decided, while on the Dyno, to upgrade my UpRev account to include the Tuning package (an extra $200) and I letMatt Spry from PITS on the Gold Coast take over. It was his first V35 UpRev Tune but he found it to be super easy and was able to get 10WHP more than the e-tune package from the UK.

Final Performance Dyno

The Final Dyno shows:

A )The Stock Reading shown above (Pink) Average of 201HP consistently, highest of 203.

B) The Reading after the parts were installed and the very first Flash was sent to me from the UK.(Green)

C) The final reading after Matty Spry got his hands on the Tuner Kit.(Red)

Again these were all 3rd gear pulls and from my research 4th gear would be the best gear for a 5 AT. These figures aren't necessarily the highest WHP my car can do, but more so showing the gains.

Added 20 inch Wheels

These Wheels, Vertini Fairlady, were added today (02/08/2011) now that the Dyno runs are complete. Will invest in lowering the car at a future date.

Already Purchased

Very Popular combo in the US. All Purchased and on a ship here as we speak.

  • KurumaZ Front bumper
  • ChargeSpeed Rear Bumper
  • Impul Side Skirts

Future Mods

  • Lowering the car (Possibly 350z Springs)
  • Big Brake Kit (OEM Kit from the 370z)
  • Painting Roof Black.

If you're looking for any information on a product hit me up, i'd be happy to help you out. Matt Spry is also now looking into doing more UpRev tunes. I believe hes also looking into becoming Australia's first listed UpRev Osiris Tuner.

Let me know what you think. :)

Hey, nicely done. Clear and easy to read. Now i feel like doing up my car. I promised not to touch the engine but now im tempted.

  • 4 weeks later...
  • 2 weeks later...

Hey mate, Headlights were from Strafe in america. $400 for both. The only thing im worried about is them being LHD. So i'll have to tinker with them to try make them not blind people :)

Nah even if you send seperate boxes under different names but to same address they can still combine them the ass holes

I have the solution :D send it to ur parents place work place and also your house, then just go collect the parts when they arrive :D.

Also im about to order some new parts, I need new lights and side skirts as my K style ones did not fit and my lights are fogged up, do you know if the front bar and skirts you got are direct bolt on?

ok sweet as, i had huge issues with the fitment of the ones i got from AUS, they had huge gaps and holes in them and i dont want to go through the return process again :S can you post some pics of the inside of the skirts at all so i can see the parts that will bolt them onto the car? That would be a great help

Im also having some issues with strafe auto i have sent them a few msgs and have not goten any replies. and with the shipping is it air shipped or all done via boat?

Sadly (not for me) the kits in the shop at the moment being put on the car so i can't get any photos sorry.

Strafe did seem kinda hard to get in contact with. Try talking to them on the g35driver forums. You'll have to arrange import yourself. I did mine via ship and it cost me $800 to import, before GST.

    • Gas MIG for learning, I was able to weld up some nice 1.6mm tubs so you can do thin stuff easily enough. Then moved on to thick caliper adaptor brackets with the same machine, all good.  Arc/Stick is great for dirty garden work etc, but Gas MIG for starting on car stuff.  Jump on the NCR FB page and search ATP Tubs or GKTech caliper adaptors for pics/info. I'm no pro but it wasn't hard to learn. Be willing to grind and go again though if it's cold etc.
    • That's not a bushing!
    • Oh and I got myself a grandpa spec dash mat.
    • Ok, so first round of maintenance done. I didn't get much history with the car but I know it was well looked after. That isn't enough for me though, so ...  I had to do the oil filter housing gasket. It was leaking a lot, and also as part of that I did the anti-return valve and the VANOS oil line (from HEL).  But, then I got hit with the while-ya-in-there's. Did both accessory and A/C belts, tensioners and pulley. The accessory belt that came off had a huge hole in it, like somebody hung it up with a nail. The pulley and tensioners seem ok, so I'll keep those just in case. I did water pump and pump pulley. The water pump had a small bit of play so timing was good.  I also did fan clutch. I don't know how to test the old one but between the water pump and the fan clutch the car is running a little bit cooler (not much ~2 - 3 degrees maybe) so good result. Unfortunately the thermostat and housing didn't turn up in time so I'll shelve those. I have no concerns at all on the current ones.  Then I spent what seemed like 40 days and 40 nights bleeding the air from the cooling system. She also got new air filter, fuel filter and did a Mobil 1 change with oil filter. Hilariously, not an hour after telling my wife how proud I was of myself to be going slowly and meticulously and making sure everything was torqued and nothing missing I went and started it without the oil filter in. The car complained immediately of no pressure and after only a few seconds I turned it off and discovered a shit tonne of oil on the driveway. Sigh. I've driven it since and thankfully doesn't seem to be any problems. AND THEN during the test drive a ratchet extension fell into the battery area in the boot and JAMMED right next to the positive terminal and the car body. Like, just touching it made sparks and it was jammed in there. So, almost killed the engine and then almost burned the car to a crisp. Good start. This was the rails under the splash guards. So stoked, she's straight as and super clean. No rust anywhere. There was a heap of caked dirt that I removed but otherwise looked great. All 4 jacking points are perfect.   Next I want to service the gearbox. Sometimes it's a little reluctant to shift up and I'm hoping a fluid change will sort it. I also have 4 new rear subframe bushes. They're as big as a toddler. I'm renting a tool to help put them in. I can't wait for this because its a bit crashy back there at the moment.
