Hi guys.. Woke up to go to work this morning only to look out the window to see that my car wasn't parked on the drive way(in my car port with 3 other cars) where I left it last night at 10:30..

Someone has stolen it between the hours of 1am and 6am this morning from Helensvale.. Please keep an eye out for it.

It's a 1997 S2 Dark Blue GTST, pretty much stock aside from an XForce 3.5" cannon exhaust. it has P1 Buddy racing rims (18")

Number Plates : 713 KXR

If you see it or hear anything about it please call the Police or myself on: 0449 009 943 - My name is Will

Whilst I was on the phone to my insurance company the lady i was speaking with said her collegue was on the phone to another person who had their skyline stolen this morning also from Southport.

I would not want to own a skyline down in the goldy at the moment.

that is the 5 th one i have heard in past 2 weeks. There MUST be some kind of op going on down there.

I will keep an eye out for it mate.

Good thing you were insured though, so many are not doing that. for the sake of a few hundred $$ you need to insure it.

  • 2 weeks later...

God I miss my car.

Thanks 04SHOW for posting it on boost, much appreciated mate.

It's been 3 weeks now and I still haven't heard anything from the police.. Hope is well and truly fading.

A couple of weeks ago whilst the feeling of losing this was fresh in my head I was thinking of getting anything BUT a skyline after these thieves have totally put me off owning one, I looked through everything from an Rx-7,8, supra, silvia, 350z, wrx, evo.. and after a week of trying to convince myself to get something else I have decided to get a 34. Ha.

With some serious killswitch/alarm/immobilizer/gps/spotlights/baseball bat+one eye open at all times action to protect it.

I love skylines.

Thank you all for keeping an eye out.

This beautiful 34 is definitely something that can cheer me up.

Im trying to work out what that badge on the back right of the boot is, anyone?

your money mate. if you look hard enough you can find much cheaper 34s in the same or near condition.

i helped a mate get a 98 34 GT-T 146ks, 3k full 350z style leather interior, fmic, bov, boost t,volk racing 17',Full Kakimoto exhaust, always serviced by gavin woods. same owner for 6 years and just all around mint.

12k no shit. i know ks were a bit higher than what you are looking at but thats an example of whats possible.

good luck mate !

That's a GT-R badge on the back. Got a fake GT-R front end as well (which I actually have no problem with, just the badges.)

But as 045HOW said, if you're willing to wait a little there are some REAL cheap examples in great nick floating around. I paid $10.5k for my 34 with 140,000 on the clock. Teins with EDFC and a CES Racing turbo back exhaust were part o the package as well.

    • I did a skidpan night at SMSP this week, it was much cheaper than $350. But yeah, you need to slap an LSD in that thing.  I put an OS Giken in the 370Z and it's f**king MARVELOUS even compared to Nissan's viscous LSD. So you're saying it's free now that it's a housing estate? 😂
    • Nah, the car seems to run exactly as it did prior, in saying this it does "seem" to be better down low, like more eager to rev, but that may be 100% placebo effect from intake noise But, I'm not worried about it at all, in the end it is a fairly low compression NA engine that has a well shrouded intake,  if it is getting hotter IAT I cannot notice anything negative performance wise from the seat of my pants thrashing it about on the street or sitting in traffic, so meh, car now now makes induction noise so I'm happy
    • Do you have an IAT sensor? It's worth checking it to see. You may be suprised how little gap you actually need to flood your engine with hot air. (I tape up my airbox for a reason) :p
    • @KinkstaahKrinkle paint the "silver" alloy, not the red filter frame Engine bay heat won't be a issue worth worrying about as the silver alloy blocks it off on 3 sides, as for the top, the bonnet seals most of it and the big OEM CAI intake snorkel is still fitted in its original position  I will head into Clark's Rubber when I have some time to grab some pinch weld to tidy up the alloy after I paint it As for performance, I honestly wasn't expecting any, the only reason I got it is because the intake noise sounds cool to my old ears when I'm feeding it the beans Sometimes it's the silly things you do in in life that gives the most fun, and I do love anything that makes cool car noises In other news: I survived 4 nights at sea with Jackie not throwing me over board, holidays are continuing now as we are currently chilling at the Beachcomber in Toukley, after taking the coast roads from Sydney in the MX5, top down all the way, Toukley is where I spent a good deal of my youth holidaying during the summer months, there's lots of reminiscing going on,  and lots of beaches and old houses to visit Next on the list is to head to Batemans Bay for a few days, but we will take the Commodore out to stretch its legs, then Commodore hasn't really moved for months
    • There’s probably people who’d like to do it and then when it comes to putting their hands in their pockets they’ll all disappear into the shadows
