If yours is like mine, there's ONE factory solenoid that fires the passenger side when you do the buttons.

Mine has an aftermarket solenoid on the drivers side.

Unfortunately electrical gremlins are a pot luck thing.

A good sparky can find it in 15 mins (shorts?). But undoubtedly you'll get charged the whole hour.

speaking of central locking, i got a query:

when u press the lock/unlock button from the driver's side, does it lock/unlock the passenger side only? I was under the impression that the central locking button does both doors and not just the passenger one? it is not my driver's side central locking unit as i got an alarm and all the doors lock/unlock by remote....

can anyone shed light on this query?
