Bunta
Whats it like online? I havnt had time pretty good, after playing lots of modern warfare ect it is pretty good not to get one shot killed all the f**king time! And when some one kills you you can opt to steal their loadout for the next life so even on low levels you get to try out lots of good weapon combos. Bunta
Starting to really get into this, mowing down kents with the heavy bolter is oh so satisfying. Now they need to hurry up and release the DLC so we can play some more game types. DivHunter
Dedicated servers is what they need. lol not get one-shot killed? Haven't run into anyone with a Daemon Maul / Thunder Hammer? Bunta
Dedicated servers is what they need. lol not get one-shot killed? Haven't run into anyone with a Daemon Maul / Thunder Hammer? They always seem to miss, or get a glancing blow, then they are screwed. Swords seem to be the way to go, you just keep hacking away and in no time the opponent is dead What do dedicated servers do? Decrease lag? Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373101-wk40k-space-marine/page/5/#findComment-6046904 Share on other sites

Well dedicated servers would mean you could actually have a server on a decent connection like real PC games have. So instead of a 2-3-4-500 ping it could be 50 or less. That would be nice, Most of the time my connection status bar is well and truly in the red, but the same goes for all games I play online so I am used to it now! lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373101-wk40k-space-marine/page/5/#findComment-6046937 Share on other sites
Sir Lord Van Von Vader'ham
my copy finally came from ozgameshop... after nearly a month!! oh wells, loving smashing orks to bits Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373101-wk40k-space-marine/page/5/#findComment-6061318 Share on other sites
Sir Lord Van Von Vader'ham
finished the game on normal on the weekend, not nearly long enough... i also think it needed more space marines running around, the whole 1 or 3 marines defeating both ork and chaos armies was a bit .... unrealistic lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373101-wk40k-space-marine/page/5/#findComment-6068300 Share on other sites

Then it is not quite so un-realistic. Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373101-wk40k-space-marine/page/5/#findComment-6068594 Share on other sites
Bunta
Yeah its not like they were in straight up battles facing the whole Hoard or anything. It was mostly really small scale firefights where a Space Marine Captain and his Command Squad have everything going for them and could really cause some damage! DivHunter
Yep, that's what Spacemarines needs, more realistic orcs and chaos. I mean, when I am fighting the forces of chaos it takes way more genetically engineered super soldiers. Chappy
I found the Chaos Marines pretty hard to take down though, as soon as i saw a Marine i would immediately switch to my Lascannon, i wouldn't even bother with the Bolter. In the board game, 2 shots from a Lascannon is more than enough to take down a Chaos Marine in Power Armour. And try a round of close combat with a Space Marine captain loaded with wargear vs a group of 10 Slugga Boys, the Captain will win. Sir Lord Van Von Vader'ham
i mean unrealistic to the game. and by that 1 captain vs a hoard and a warboss or chaos son of rajab in termi gear, the captain would be smashed. but that wouldnt be a very fun game to play think i just would of liked to see more marines in it or something. 1 SM captain vs 10 slugga boyz would be to the orks me thinks. edit. +1 to the Lascannon Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/373101-wk40k-space-marine/page/5/#findComment-6069138 Share on other sites

For the main character in Space Marine to achieve what he did does not require nearly as much bending of reality as most shooters (or movies for that matter). So what you're saying is, Max Payne with the Kung-Fu mod wasn't realistic? Why would you say that?
