Central Locking Problem

Hey guys,

I have already posted this in another section of sau with not much luck.

Although I was working on my cars interior on the weekend and notice after taking one of the doors off that my central locking doesnt work anymore, wheather I try and lock the car from the outside or inside of the drivers door the passenger door never locks.I am sure its simple to fix has anybody come across this or know what might be wrong?

BTW my new gearbox boot and door inserts are looking good so far YAY

this is probably a stupid suggestion but did you plug the loom back into the power window/ central locking unit?

i plugged in everything i unplugged i hope well i wasnt really smart enough to take off the driver door i tried but didnt want to break the window buttons.

But i took off the passenger door and i plugged everything back in on that side.

Well I think I have sussed it out havent tried it yet but was reading through the forums and it hit me.

If the central locking is powered by a motor.

And my battery in my car is so dead that not even the lights inside work then.

obviously it wouldnt work the motor that unlocks the central locking
