Hi,

I'm changing my wheel size, and have a set of 4 Michelin 27/68R18 Slicks. The slicks have lots of tread left (see pics) and have had two treatments of octopus grip to keep the rubber soft.

I'm chasing $500 for the set of 4 firm. I paid way more than that for them and I haven't used them.

It depends on your set up. I run standard blow of valves and they touch when you turn lock to lock. My car is pretty low, and it kisses the top of the suspension when you bounce. I only trial fitted them. Lots of guyd on the UK GTR forums run this size, I just cant be bothered raising it and changing the bov's

These are too tall for a 33 gtr aren't they?

Hey mate,

How old are the slicks?

Looks like they will be good for the LM

Where are you located, I live in Wollongong So not far away and can pck up.

Cheers

Matt

Hi mate, I'm not sure on their age. The Octopus grip softens them back up quite a lot. A friend used it too on his slicks and the grip increase was quite noticable.

I'm at glenmore park, which is just before Penrith, along the northern road (camden valley way).

What size wheels do you need?

Big ones.

27 / 68 – 18

First Number indicates approximate tread width in centimeters

Second Number indicates overall diameter in centimeters

Third Number indicates rim diameter in inches

//EXAMPLE

Tire has 27 cm wide tread, is 68 cm in diameter, and uses an 18 inch wheel

Diameter in inches = 68 / 2.54 = 26.8 inches

Approximate* tread width in inches = 27 / 2.54 = 10.6 inches

So, it is similar in size to a 27 x 10.5 – 18 tire in common North American designation

Google is still free.

FWIW a 245/40/18 tyre is 65cm diameter.

Hi, the catalogue states a 18x10.5 to 18x12 wheel is required. I know from experience, and any slick retailer will tell you, they will fit anything from 18x9.5 to 18x12. The 9.5 and 10 inch rims require a psi or two more pressure to stiffen the side wall. I have seen a few guys at csca doing this. I had these fitted to 18x10 rims perfectly.

Still available! I'm back from overseas. Someone must want some near new slicks? I slashed 6 seconds off my Wakefield time with smaller slicks...
