Hey fellas,

I'm having a problem with my R32 gts-t, while driving home the other night I had the clutch go on me.

Depressing the clutch to shift up from 2nd into 3rd (not driving hard or anything, just cruising), I've heard a noise (like a snap??), but after that wasn't able to complete the shift and got stuck in neutral.

Now when I fully depress the pedal it doesn't open the clutch, it just remains engaged and when i bring my foot off the pedal it's very sticky and gets stuck not even half way up to where it should be.

Also if I lift the pedal back to it's original position its just drops to roughly where the friction point would be.

So anyway, my question is what may be causing this, as the title states I'm thinking it's the slave cyl. but can anyone confirm or prove otherwise?

Thanks in advance.

Had a look under the dash and where the pedal connects to a metal plate at the back it's clean snapped. I don't know what the part is called nor how to describe it any better does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Its pretty common if you have a heavy duty clutch.

Yep, that's it.

Is this something I should be able to fix/replace myself (being in a difficult place) or is it worth getting the car towed to a workshop and have them do it.

Its not hard, maybe for your first time doing one but all you need to do for a skyline is, turn into a midget so you can fit in the footwell.......

kiddin

You need to go into the engine bay and undo the brake master cylinder from there, then in the footwell undo the bracket mounting points. Thats all.
