Painting Signed Car Part

So the short of it is I got to Meet Chip Foose (from overhaulin') on my last trip to USA.

I had a Billet AL glove box lid I had just got to go on my mustang which he free handed a mustang onto and signed with a perm marker.

I now want to put a protective coating on this so when I clean the interior it won't come off.

Has any-one done something similar to this? or suggestions as to whom I should talk to?

we do it all the time with motorbike parts...its not really anything special,we paint them with an adhesion promoter(like dupont 222S) then clear it

How much shape does it have to it? is there too many curves in multiple directions to simply put some clear contact on it?

short of it not interested in putting contact on it, just not a safe long term solution.
