R33 Gts-T Spec Ii: What Front Bumper Is This ?

Recommended Posts

Hey there,

Since I own my R33 it has this rare front bumper and I would like to know what type/brand this bumper is ? On the Dutch and UK forums nobody has a clue, so now im trying here :)

Also if anyone has fitted this bumper with a FMIC, was it a easy job ? As this bumper is pretty small on the downside I'm afraid it's very hard to fit a FMIC.

Are you sure about this ? This bumper doenst have fog lights, while there is a option to turn them on in my interior.

Also my car is not a 40th Anniverary Edition and I never saw one with this bumper :)

Yeah its a nice bumper. The only downside is that the licenseplate bracket is placed very bad and doenst look good when you stand in front. Also fitting a FMIC is pretty hard as the bumper is small on the bottom.

Besides that its great !

just bought myself a new front bar and finished cutting it up for the front mount. Didnt come out too bad but i wish i didnt need to cut away at the indicator mounts.

rego plate will be going higher within the next few days.

Wow man, I think the result is awesome !

About the indicators I think I could live with that :) It actually looks kinda cool !

I think I will show this photos to the guy who is going to fit the intercooler, maybe it gives him some ideas :)

Can you also take a picture when you have the rego plate higher mounted ? You also going to cut away the existing mounting place for the rego plate ?

Too bad i'm like the only one in the Netherlands with this front bar :)

Yeh im not unhappy with the result, but would of liked it better if the pipe was not visible.

ill get some brakets for the rego tomorrow maybe and take some snaps. As for the mount below i wasnt planning on cutting it off but i will probably change my mind.

Just got my front bar painted.

Wasn't too keen on being able to see the intercooler pipes, but I dont mind them now that its all together. Next on the list is some clear indicators.

    • This one isn't "on the street" per se, but it was on the street just prior to the photos being taken..... Mitsuoka Nouera, based on a CL7 Honda Accord. It was in the carpark of the Hanshin Nishinomiya train station "Ebista" shopping mall. I'd say they are very rare compared to other Mitsuoka models.
    • Do the shapes of the rice crisps really conform to the individual car model shapes or is it a bit of a stretch? I mean, do you know you're eating a BNR32 GT-R after having grabbed one from the can? 😁
    • Yeah, pure laziness My main reason for the change is the local crappy roads, car felt great going up the Mac Pass, and then back down the long way home via Jamberoo Mountain Road after ramming a sausage roll and coffee down the gullet  But as stated, good reason to head back down for a pie or sausage roll and coffee  Some nice cars turned up at the pie shop, my fave was a mint V8 Soarer coupe, the condition of it was truly awesome  Edit: plus to adjust the dampening I need to remove the OEM front strut brace, because it covers them, and remove some of the rear boot trim, I did have my little tool kit with everything required to do it with me, but, yeah, laziness
    • Any reason you didn't, like... change it while at the Pie shop so you could compare them on the way back? (all the more reason to go for another drive I suppose)
    • After a lovely little cruise up Mac Pass into Robertson pie shop on the weekend, and all the daily driving on our crappy roads, I decided to soften up the dampers a bit I've gone from 13 clicks from full soft to 9 clicks on the front, and from 8 clicks full soft to 4 clicks on the rear Whilst the car did handle great before, on smooth roads, it was a little bit harsh on pot holes and joins in the road, but only in the rear Also, my uneducated assumption is you need more dampening in the front compared to the rear, hence the front is set a little harder by 5  Will this help the budget spec BC RS coilovers on bumpy roads, I'm hopeful.....
