Does anyone know if you can buy the wiring kit for the AEM wideband? I have installed one in my Patrol but wouldn't mind using it in the skyline at times and i don't want to have to keep passing it through the firewall!

For $185 delivered i think the AEM is great! Helped me sort out some issues already.

Where did you get it for $185 delivered?

I'm either going to get the Innovate piece: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NEW-Innovate-Motorsports-3844-MTX-L-52mm-Wideband-Air-Fuel-Ratio-AFR-Gauge-/120776925486?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item1c1edda12e

Or the AEM piece: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/AEM-DIGITAL-WIDEBAND-UEGO-CONTROLLER-FREE-SHIP-AUS-/290497232176?pt=AU_Car_Parts_Accessories&hash=item43a2fbfd30

But if you can show me the AEM unit for $185(Digital with analog outputs etc) that would be great.

If you had to choose one of these units, which would you get?

There's a few sellers on eBay and with the changing exchange rate they can range from mid 180 to about 200ish. Mine was 192 for example.

As for which it depends on personal preference, both use the same sensor but the Innovate can be re-calibrated where as the AEM cannot. The Innovate has reportedly suffered from a few quality issues and issues with requiring re-calibration more regularly than might be considered normal, dunno if that's still the case though.

The Innovate is a touch more expensive but also appears to have better output options, the AEM is simpler but appears to have less issues.

I havent googled it , but my wiseband gauge is stuck on 14.8

once i start the car it goes thru the motions and the numbers change but once its going it just stays there (14.8)

dont tell me ive burnt the sensor out as some big mountain runs the turbo was glowing red , its about 12 inces before the cat

seems like my sensor is stuffed , great bit of gear as its only 3 weeks old......

i recieved my aem wide band yesterday , post was extremly fast looks like the real deal

going to throw it in over the weekend , dump pipe already has a second bung welded in although knowing my luck the thread will be wrong ..... hahaha

AEM by the looks of it

Ahh, I wonder if this is the same issue the Innovates have and the problem lies with the Bosch sensor itself and not the control units?

I'd imagine you'd have no issues with warranty.

It isnt the sensor that was the problem with the :LC1's it was the control unit.

I had my 1st one let go within a week. They replaced the unit straight away but didnt send a new sensor as it isnt an issue. Been great ever since.

Anyone running the new Innovate MTX-L widebands? http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/products/MTXL.php

According to Innovate these are a much better device than the LC-1, and everything is built into the gauge. Plus as far as I can tell 2 programmable outputs allows one to be set as narrowband into the stock ECU, and I can use the second as a wideband input to my Fcon (although if I have to calibrate it I might put a bung in somewhere easier to access :whistling: ). Also looks like you can change the scale, which will be handy because I'm looking at mapping for 98 and E85.

Cheap too, under $200 delivered on ebay.

PLX devices are selling their new DM6 mutli-guage and wide band AFR sensor for $199!

http://www.plxdevices.com/wideband.php

The DM6 can handle multiple inputs so you are not limited to a single funtion it can also manage oil, coolant, temps, pressures etc with the right modules i.e. very versatile!

P.S. It is accurate to <0.01AFR

This is the best bang-for-buck deal I have seen and I am eyeing one up for Xmas

damn... that looks nice!!! And I was just about to buy one of the current ones!

Depends how much you buy into that comparison a couple of pages back.

PLX was one of the most inaccurate widebands in that comparison. Kit looks sexy though, I'll admit.

Still looking at the MTX-L. Haven't been able to find anything bad about the new range, seems all the negatives are written about the older Innovate gear.

Hi guys,

This is something I've been thinking about for putting in my car for a while now, does anyone have any experience with the AEM wifi based wideband and egt sensor?

X-WiFi Wideband UEGO and EGT Wireless Gauge Controller

Apparently this works with all wifi enabled devices.

I'm quite interested in this particular one, can anyone comment on it, pros & cons?

Anyone using the 14point7 wideband?

I've been conyemplating one for ages but that plx one has a much nicer display and would be easier to mount
