so i did an oil change a few weeks ago - car has been running as normal - no problems..

then noticed today my oil pressure dropped to 0 (greddy oil pres. gauge) whilst the stock gauge still showed between 2-3... pulled over just to be sure it there wasnt oil spilling out - no leaks - disconnected the sensor/plug for the gauge - plugged it back in - turned the car on - still showing no pressure - stock gauge still shows normal pressure 2-3 - drove it down the road - felt normal - tried a little boost - 7psi no problems - 10psi no problems..

Got home - let it sit for a bit - just went down turned it on - still showing no pressure on the greddy gauge but still shows pressure on the stock gauge - unplugged the sensor / wiring - clipped it back in - now its showing maximum pressure on the greddy gauge 10kg/cm2 but still normal on the stock gauge.. No leaks, drives fine but now i can hear a slight hissing noise / leaking noise above the injectors / below the TB about midway down the engine on the drivers side. Never heard this before. I got a bit of cloth and covered the underside of the throttle body to see if it was leaking - wasnt that, the gasket was replaced a few thousand km ago so it shouldnt be that.

... Would this be more of an electrical / sensor problem? Or further problems given the hissing noise?

The only other work i did was a fuel filter but i hardly think that would effect oil pressure. The filter isnt leaking - direct replacement for what i had in there. Not sure if that has caused the hissing noise

as if you even continued to drive it with no oil pressure on the gauge...

but yeh if its in you oil cooler if you have one you could have a blockage?

do you have oil cooler? and as above where is the sensor?

well ive un clipped everything and re zip tied the wires so they arent being crushed or near anything hot (was kind of being pinched beside the oil filter and the chassis) straightened it all out - hasn't shat itself all day so fingers crossed its just the wiring.
