I also have an R34 GTT and was wondering the same question.

As I understand it, the ABS runs on a seperate computer to the engine. It uses sensors at each wheel for imput.

The Traction control monitors the same sensors at the ABS (only in reverse of course) and shuts a second throttle body (which is the extra wide section before the normal throttle body) to control wheelspin. I think that the traction control also drops spark in extreme wheelspin conditions, as my car can often be heard popping and farting in the wet like it has missed a spark.

I have a PowerFC about to be installed which should keep the factory spark cut thing happening. Theoretically the Microtech should also keep the second throttle body part of the traction control, but whether it will keep the spark cut, I'm not sure.
