Hi guys, just a quick question on whether i may have a problem or if this is normal.

If I put my foot down in first gear my car will bounce on the rev limiter for a few seconds (seems like 3 or 4 seconds) before finally shifting up into second. Im fairly sure this isnt supposed to be normal so I wanted to see if anyone else has experienced this in theirs and if they did anything to fix it.

There are a few mods on the car but nothing too dramatic, just a front mount intercooler, pod filter, cat back exhaust and I beleive coil packs.

Also, does anyone know of a place in Adelaide that services Autowatch alarms?

Any advice will be appreciated.

Thanks

Brett

I had a problem similar to this in an R32. Turned out it was a vacuum leak from a badly fitted boost gauge.

Interesting, mine only has the normal 3 gauge cluster with volts, oil temp and boost gauge on it. I do have issues with the boost gauge not actually working most of the time though. I was planning on getting this looked at along with a few other electrical problems that ive had since i bought the car.

I think I might take it in to get the trans serviced and then go from there.
