My transmission fluid was changed today.

I drove the car back to the office and checked the levels.

The fluid level was about an inch above the s bend on the dip stick!!!

Checked it about 3 times, so I reckon they put way too much in.:worship:

Going to have to take some fluid out tomorrow.

use the transmission cooler loop to drain it instead of taking the sump plug out.

chuck it on a hoist, have one person remove the hose and the other start the car. get the person under the car to measure how much is coming out. 1" above the H mark, 1.0-1.5L i rekon

Thanks,

Dropped about 2 liters out and i think its still a tad on the high side.

Used the sump plug- much faster .

Will check it again tomorrow.

A tad above high mark will be fine IMO. Mine ran fine with a lot more than a "tad" above the high mark for over 12 months before I changed the valve body.

did my gearbox oil on the weekend. Went with Nulon stuff. Only managed to get 6.5 litres out of it though.. took the cooler off as well. Hoped to get more than that out...

Anyways done now. Certainly feels a lot better through the gears.
