ahh ok and ill get the part number and check it that way

it isnt brand new its 2nd hand

Why risk it with a 2nd hand AFM? It simply is a waste of money.

But a new one, from a respected workshop - you won't get a fake, or one that could break in 6 months.

Don't know what all the fret is over second hand genuine units are... Most of these are run with good filters. What if someone bought a brand new unit for their car, used it for 6 months, and then upgrades to map and sells the afm for half the price? Its a good saving on a unit which hasn't much age and will probably last you the life of the car...

I bought my genuine piece over from the US a while back. Never had any issues with it(touch wood). I wouldn't buy an "z32 alternative". Often, the fake ones are listed as alternatives or aftermarket parts.

How do you know someone only used it for 6 months?

You don't.

AFM's are so cheap that it's just not worth the risk. They seem to only last 10yrs anyway so almost a consumable like a timing belt really. They certainly don't last the life of the car at all. AFM's are known to fail regularly.

A 2nd hand Z32 could be 5 years old for all you know, and belted around a bit. For the sake of a couple $$, just get a new one.

Exactly anyone can say part x has done 10000km, but in reality it has probally done close to 100000km. That's the problem with buying second hand parts. Seeing as the afm is a critical part of keeping everything running sweet i don't see why people don't fork out the extra say $100 for a new one. I got my bosch one bran new for $310 from bursons.
