OMG! How awesome was the food... I loved it!!!

And I do have to say a HUGE thankyou to Kat for helping me out. While I started organising this dinner, Kat did so much work for me behind the scenes, checking restaurant availability, booking it.

And a thanks to everyone who turned up, I know I had a good dinner!

Me -> cheers.gif <- Everyone else

I wanted to talk in the events section but it looks like someone's locking down the threads. I was reading fresh comments, then they all disappeared as I went to reply unsure.gif

It was a good meet everyone, and the track day on Saturday was also awesome, and I think I am severely addicted now. So many new faces, if I start shouting out names I'm sure I'll leave someone out. So I'll just thank Eric and Kat for repeatedly boosting my car!!!!

So get this guys: when I didn't take the turn off towards Sydney, and accidentally followed Kat we pulled over and then my car died again just as I was going to turn around pinch.gif Kat, AKA basically working for NRMA now, heads off the source some jumper leads. An Irishman pulls over and he starts looking over the engine bay. I ask him if he's got cables, but he doesn't. Now, the bracket for the negative terminal is totally stuffed, so I assumed this was the problem, or some electronics inside the car grounding out. This guy freaking wiggles the positive lead and the car jumps back to life! Full battery, ready to start. That little red box on the positive terminal (contains a fuse, I guess?) was loose. FML! I was sitting there for a long time trying to roll start the poor thing. All is well now! Thanks everyone for a great weekend.

/End of novel.

Haha "welcoming committee"... might not be what you expect Matty Matt! :laugh:

Rob, we'll load him up with chicken salt to bring over for you :thumbsup:

If the guys are as friendly as Rob, and the girls as pretty as the ones I know... I say bring it on!!!

LOL, I've done that before - changed my battery in the car and still had issues, so me and my old man ran a second cable for the negative terminal, and the problem wasn't solved... Turned out the positive terminal was not getting enough contact. >_<:rolleyes:

Damn you and your hot Canadian female friends! :(

    • Son, in this country, that is a piece of Gyprock. f**king drywall. FFS! I also like the autocorrect of trailer to tablet. I was reading it and thing, "what the hell drugs is he on?" Then the photo made it clear enough.
    • SO whats the deal with this issue? I've read a heap of posts from the infinity owners in the US having full engine swaps done under warranty. Most claims are done on earlier cars than 2019 but I'm sure I've come across claims of 2020 models also having this issue. I like the 400r and Q50Red/S but can't fathom dumping close to 50k on a car with terminal issues!!!
    • The above video is working normally. That is, that's how the right hand indicator should cancel when rotating the wheel left.
    • I noticed that I could see creatures on the moon when I turned my new headlights on. I thought I should check the alignment. It's pretty rudimentary but I just grabbed some dry wall and put it against my tablet and made sure the beam was below the height on the headlights. Ie the beam is at 600mm on my car, I just made it lower than that 7.5m away.  Not the best but it'll do until I can do it properly at the local shops.
    • As @Duncan said - the bores are most likely to cop it. But anything can and does happen. Rods are cheap. Rods are good. The work to rebuild the motor will be 30x the price of rods. You won't notice it.
