If you wanna be jdm brah you just run a pipe from the intake to the ground and put a stocking over it

Edit: but +1 for a K&N washable filter. I love mine :)

whats a good filter then?

HKS / Nismo (Made by K&N) / K&N / Nissan OEM / BLITZ etc... Filters.

All good, but people give shit about HKS, yet in Japan, some of the fastest high performance Skylines run HKS.

Thats because the HKS have pretty much Zero filtration but make good power. :P And its all about the POWARRRR!! :D

If your running an AFM, personally i wouldnt use a K&N. I think they are overpriced too.

1st choice for me is Apexi, but seeing as the dont have anything with a 4inch intake i went for a Simota. I like my dry filters.

ummmmmm, i thought we were talking panel filters?

Is it worth getting rid of a pod to run a standard box? I've got the ss2 turbo and when stao tested the turbo back to back with a pod and stock box, there was a difference. Also the fact that I will need a very strict metal intake pipe to line up to the stock box...

How much of a difference is there?

Interested to know too. I did a back to back run in my R33 with the stock turbo, and there was a 1rwkw difference between them. And that was just the peak. Other than that, they were identical.
