Ahh good to see more info. Thats certainly pretty impressive and a bit reassuring so long as the machine shop does their part(I have alot of faith in them so I think I'll be ok)

Much more authentic ;) lol

Although, I will say, for this level of build I would personally opt for a PWR radiator with built in engine oil cooler. It's much neater to plumb, weighs less, cools FAR more efficiently, warms the oil better, and is neater and easier to work around. Did I mention it's better?

Actually I am ditching the radiator(Recent development) and Instead using a combo tank with a 5 gallon water tank and 1 gallon fuel tank and a Meziere electric water pump. As for the oil cooler I will have about 12 quarts of oil in my system so i'll have to see how the temperature is maintained with that much oil.

Ahh ok, cool. Lots of weight saved with that setup.

Since it is evidently going to be quite a serious drag car, you could really just ditch oil cooling altogether, with a large-ish capacity dry sump system you'll have more trouble getting it up to temp (get a tank heater) than keeping it cool.

Yeah thats what I was worried about when I started adding up all the oil that was gonna be in the system. The tank itself is just 8 quarts but when you take into account the filter and all that line and the cooler it adds up fast. I've got one of those tank heaters so we'll see. As for the radiator switch its more of a weight shift than weight savings. A five gallon tank is quite large and half filled with Ice will be easily as heavy as the radiator plus fans but it will be in the rear end where I really need the weight vs the front were I'm already nose heavy.

I did get an email back from Paul at Red R Racing and he also confirmed that he had made 1350hp on a prepped stock and had spun them to just over 11k so apparently I should be fine.

I would love to see the dyno sheet for this, see if he will give you a copy and post it up

wasn't it the mercury Motorsport r34 gtr "nitto" that went something like 1087awhp? thats probs around 1300 at the crank... was built by this "paul" Red R Racing guy...... ppl seem to be quick to flame..

EDIT: http://www.skylinesa...uise-dyno-comp/

and im pretty sure it has made more then that...

EDIT: I NOW FEEL LIKE A DICKHEAD....2.7L :( hahahaha
