Hey guys,

On the weekend i decided to replace my shitty old stock system with a new aftermarket one.

Ive removed the door skins and mounted the door splits, mounted the headdeck and amp's under each seat.

Im now upto mounting the rear speakers, i purchased 6" JL audio speakers, However, when mounting them, the existing holes dont line up, !!!

:S

How would i go about soundly mounting the rear 6" Speakers without having to go to much trouble. I Understand the stock speakers are 6.5" Is there a spacer i can buy that will fit the existing holes and allow me to mount the new speakers??

Or would i be better off mounting the new speakers in the parcel shelf itself, rather that the metal frame located under the parcel shelf??

Any other advice would be great.

Cheers,

Daniel.

you could buy or make MDF spacers to mount them or just cut the plastic bit of the rear deck and redrill the holes if you want the JL grills showing. depends on how hacked your rear deck is to start with. its a good time to recover the deck in black carpet looks way better then greyish crap. 3m spray glue and some unbacked speaker carpet , razor to recut the holes , dont forget the seat belt holes on the ends and baby bolts need remounted defect without them. grrrrr

dont cut the metal in the deck, its a structual defect
