How Far Can I Drive Without An Alignment

Recommended Posts

Hey guys

Finished installing my new suspention and now need an alignment . I have 2 rear camber kits and 1 front cambrr kit and a castor kit that all need to be adjusted correctly . Was looking at taking the car to centerline but that 35k away . Not sure if that kinda distance would kill my ad08 semi slicks. The other choice is a local kmart tyre and auto but I'm kinda avoiding that one.

So tge question is can I get away with driving 35k with a bad alignment ?

you can drive as far as you want, you will lose tread accordingly. How much tread? that depends on how far off your alignment is. is it worth losing that amount of tread on your slicks? that is up to you.

In all honesty depends how bad the alignment is. Is it completely pointing in opposite directions? Is pulling hard to one side. Is it just not happy driving straight?

How is the toe, castor?

If you're wheel alignment isn't all too bad then 30ks won't hurt them too much. As long as you take it easy.

It's not totally messed up - we took the car for a 3k drive. The only bad thing we noticed was on a hard corner the one rears tyre would scrub a little bit on the tyre edge/wall. Heigh has been set to 355 mm front and 345 mm rear
