Braking Issues

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

Two concerns, when I pull up to a stop I get a weird clicking/straining noise from the front of my car, I figured it's something to do with the brakes since it only happens then.

Next one, my brakes shudder at high speed when I apply them and shakes the car a bit, would this be the discs or rotors?

Which ones do you recommend?

Where can I get this done?

Street car?

What sort of hp?

If so, RDA rotors. There is a group buy on SAU (If it's still going)

"discs" and "rotors" are the same thing.

Does your car have ABS?

sometimes the clicking noise is because the brake is hot happen to me before because the brake caliper is jammed or maybe your drive shaft but it happen when you cornering...

just give a different thought..

R33 GTST mainly stock, height, rims all stock, yep has ABS.

Happens all the time when I'm braking and probably not the hot problem because it happens when the car is cold. I'm starting to think it's coming from a shock only cos I bounce tested them and a squeaking noise was coming from the front passenger side same place the noise does, it's hard to explain it sounds as if a brake pad was loose and rattling around.

I did a visual check of the discs and they look fine, could be something in the caliper maybe?

Hoping to diagnose the problem, I've been down the path of changing multiple things and having the same issue on other cars I've owned, it can be costly and annoying...
