Lithium
Bugger, that sucks! What is the rest of the setup on the car again? Is it a stock mount turbo etc? Jason, not bad result still - would have been nice to see how it went with VCT etc though. How does it compare with the old car? Dajae
370rwkw on an SR20? Nice result Im hoping for something on my 2.8 stroker. Reckon something like that would be do-able on 98 with a WMI setup? Ty. GTScotT
Glad ya got to have some fun in the beast tonight anyways jase lol all i got was more work for myself haha DW I feel like a half arsed POS too lol, I now need to decide do I buy a new VCT actuator for $450 or do I buy Brian Crower cams for under $400 delivered......... Tough choice. Accordingly to Jezzup fixing the VCT wont warrant a retune but changing cam profile will warrant a retune. I also have NON VCT DE cams and gears I could whack in, cheapest option with a minor touch up on the tune.. Jason, not bad result still - would have been nice to see how it went with VCT etc though. How does it compare with the old car? Pretty happy with the result all things considered, the dyno sheet is on FB already if you wanna have a stalk. The old setup (more or less the same but with a DET rather than a DE and also made 200kw) was a lot more sluggish. This comes on rather lively and definitely is happy to go. But for some reason high load (ie on highway) it seems to hunt a little bit when trying to accelerate between 2000 and 4000rpm. I can only think it is attributed to the lack of VCT, and I'm hoping I'm not wrong. Am looking into cam specs between S13 and S15 DE's (i have a set of S13 DE cams at home to whack into my S15 DE motor if need be as stated prior). Le sigh lol Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/375232-garrett-gtx3071r/page/22/#findComment-6216359 Share on other sites

SimonR32
Come on Simon. People dont fudge figures in sydney We Western Australian's do it all the time, we just didn't realise that you eastern staters were smart enough to work it out The best thing about is we have rigged our drag strip as well so our mph matches the power Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/375232-garrett-gtx3071r/page/22/#findComment-6216576 Share on other sites
dori34
f**king LOL at huge reading plus "Temperature Probe Fault"! Dyno Dynamics correction would be loving that so a temperature probe fault gives higher readings? should ask my tuner to give me a faulty higher reading so i can join the 300rwkw clubz Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/375232-garrett-gtx3071r/page/22/#findComment-6216583 Share on other sites
DVS JEZ
Lol Simon. Dori yes that is how alot of people fudge numbers. PT have had that issue for years, they say it doesnt affect readibg Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/375232-garrett-gtx3071r/page/22/#findComment-6216588 Share on other sites
usmair
i dont think its too unrealistic considering the factors involved - we know these turbos really get going when you pump big boost through them - 27psi would make a big difference compared to the standard 18-20psi... especially on the GTX series - e85 is in the mix... ~15% more power right there even it you take 25kw off the number.. 350kw is still very impressive Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/375232-garrett-gtx3071r/page/22/#findComment-6216590 Share on other sites

But does it actually make that power is another question if we take into account the whole dyno isnt reading right arguement then i dont see why it wouldnt actually make 350kw all day everyday Epic, running 30psi? edit: Running 12.1 afr??? hax more details for us newbies please Edited February 3, 2012 by usmair Link to comment https://www.sau.com.au/forums/topic/375232-garrett-gtx3071r/page/22/#findComment-6216918 Share on other sites
