Seriously? A bigger non ball bearing turbo being less laggier?

i take bush over balls every time.

But seriously the bush stuff is so much more hardy and the response diff is litterally negligible.

But have to say I am a bit disappointed its not making 200rwkws until around 4,300rpm which is only 200rpm better then my RB20 with a TD06-20G on 98. I am really looking for a 330-350rwkws setup that does 200rwkws at 4,000rpm.

I wonder if something like a Full Race manifold, twin gate and GTX3071R on a std RB25 would do over 200rwkws at 4,000rpm?

Yeah I noticed that with the higher resolution one as well, I'd expect a normal GT3076R to at least match that on E85. A setup I think would be unreal on an RB25 would be a 6boost manifold, wastegate and a FP GT3076R HTA... probably very hard to beat.

Argh, who starts a dyno run at 3900rpm haha... Makes the curve look so much better than it actually is!

Probably not as good as I thought it was down low compared with a T67, actually may be a tad on the laggier side.

But in saying that it's a very impressive set up for a low mount standard inlet and exhaust manifold set up

100% agree.

Now you see that nothing actually happens before 4000rpm - It's nothing remarkable IMO.

Really? Its 25psi by 4000rpm, starting at 3900rpm means the turbo has less time under full load to overcome inertia

Run starts at about 17psi which shows motor was loaded up before the run

Seriously? A bigger non ball bearing turbo being less laggier?

It's not exactly apples with apples, internal vs external gate with an aftermarket manifold

17psi loaded at 3800rpm-ish is actually not that flash, loading a GT3076R against a dyno like that (depending on how long you load it for) you can easily hit 17psi by 3500rpm.

I've not been in or driven a car running a GTX but I'm feeling more and more like they aren't doing anything that the previous range did, GTX3071R = GT3076R, GTX3076R = GT3082R, GTX3576R = GT3582R. GTX3582R, well... they have made some huge power but there are plenty of other outfits who have been upgrading the GT35R compressor wheels which cost less.

not really a very good dyno sheet to compare with, need to start it at 2000 without loading it up for 30 seconds before hand.

You do realise something as simple as dyno ramp rate will affect perceived response on a dyno...?

God you can be a wanker nismoid, you know what I mean.

Start it at 2000rpm like a normal dyno run, eg on appropriate load settings, not holding it on massive load so that it doesn't increase in rpm pre spooling the turbo. If you start it at 4k you could have been holding it there for 5 minutes before hand, we don't know. At least if you were to do that at 2k it wouldn't cheat the dyno result too much assuming of course the correct ramp rate for the rest of the run.

But bringing people back to reality for a second! Its a 335rwkws std RB25 with a bolt on turbo! That is mega. Perhaps a gate, manifold or other combination may be a tad punchier, but show me a single bolt on turbo that will match this setup???? I haven't seen any? Would be pretty mint, stock looking setup if his pipes weren't so sex when you open the bonnet.

Wow hasnt this got some bad press now?! It went from wow nice results mate to meh thats not that crash hot HAHA!

I dont understand any of the dyno jargon you blokes are carrying on about lol!

Its just a sheet showing how much power it made FFS! To me it doesnt give a true representaion of how my car drives in the REAL world my car is far from dead under 4000rpm even if thats what a line on a piece of paper says to you in fact the car takes off like a dog shot in the ass 3800rpm in 2nd gear all the way to redline 3rd gear is on instantly if you stay hard on it in 2nd gear off boost its torquey as hell and feels as pokey as any big Falcodore 6 cylinder which is very impressive for a 2.5L imo... Yeah probably doesnt come on as early as alot of turbos or the GT3071 that it replaced for that matter. I dunno if my eyes deceive me or im not reading the dynosheet right but is 25psi @ 4000rpm on a factory manifold with an internal gate laggy?

My car is far from an exotic or by a big $$$ setup its a basic bolt on package on E85 nothing special really i woulda thought :ninja:

Now dont get me wrong this is not me getting defensive to the constructive critisism from you guys as im stoked with how well my car goes and how well it drives on and off boost is a credit to the boys at Unigroup engineering and 450hp isnt too shabby at all i reckon

I just feel some guys get caught up in the dynosheet too much as opposed to how it feels to drive on the road which is where it really counts......... Thats my 2c anyways haha

Jez is gunna be taking my car for a run this weekend so ill put the hard word on him to do a little write up and give you guys his opinion on how my car drives lol im sure as shit hes driven as many different turbo combinations on a 25 as anyone in here
