The thing I'm most interested in is where it starts building power etc, its clear that with >20psi and E85 its going to make good power - that was never the question. I'm more interested to see if its equal to or any better than a regular GT3076R in normal usage.

if i can get this footage to actually work it probably wont give you a good idea lithium as i was sitting on 4-4500 before i could give the accelerator a hit

The vid actually tells very little in general, looks quite laggy in 2nd gear (though you say its not necessarily full throttle?) and breaks loose a bit in 3rd. Seems like it must go ok though, take it to the strip and point a camera at the dash :D

Yeah prob not the best video lol yeah hit bit of a dip in the road in 3rd and it started to squeal i dont think it feels that laggy in 2nd tbh and yes i will hit the strip so i can do a decent in car video.

Just spoke to my tuner and the engine light popped on because i was about to hit the rev limiter and thats the links little warning telling you you are about to get cut so thats a relief

Yeah that's what i wondered... My tune will be E85 and probably 20psi with the 3037-56T but would be interesting to see how different it would be with the GTX3071r as a back to back comparison... Maybe one day i'll do it but for now ill concentrate on just getting my car to run >_<

What r u guys complaining about, it looks fast enough (4500rpms to limiter) for me to jizz in my pants, does look real fast, that zone. But I understand the first half of the rpm band was slow as cos he wasn't flooring it as above?

Interesting. My link doesnt flash a warning when i hit the limiter. It does if you bash the MAP limit however :)

Maybe its a setting.

I think you should take a few more videos like that one.

Do this:

2nd from 2000rpm

3rd from 2000rpm

4th from 2000rpm

Quite keen to see the difference in real time recordings between the GT and the GTX

I have a video quite similar to that one you just posted. Dont know if Lithium or myself have already posted it? (Normal GT30)

Yeah cpouldnt floor it when i wanted cos there was a truck in front of me so had to let him pull a gap and a falcon coming the other way that looked like popo from a distance :whistling: so didnt step on it till 4500 really

My tuner told me that it will flash for 3 reasons nearly hitting the rev limiter, boost cut if it over boosts and temperature which is how mine is setup apparently.

I will do some more in car vids when i can actually get on it harder..... Hopefully this shitty weather pisses off it looks like its gunna storm out my way soon.

I ditched the boost gauge my profec is my boost gauge :whistling: but i will do my best to get some more footage as soon as possible as long as the weather holds out for me

Profec is good, because you can show a peak hold value!

So load up in 4th from 3000rpm with camera on tacho, then when you hit 1bar back off and show the profec peak reading!

For science :)

    • The engine stuff is Greg Autism to the Max. I contacted Tony Mamo previously from AFR who went off to make his own company to further refine AFR heads. He is a wizard in US LS world. Pretty much the best person on earth who will sell you things he's done weird wizard magic to. The cam spec is not too different. I have a 232/234 .600/603 lift, 114LSA cam currently. The new one is 227/233 .638 .634. The 1.8 ratio roller rockers will effectively push this cam into the ~.670 range. These also get Mamo'ified to be drilled out and tapped to use a 10mm bolt over an 8mm for better stability. This is what lead to the cam being specced. The plan is to run it to 6800. (6600 currently). The Johnson lifters are to maintain proper lift at heavy use which is something the LS7's supposedly fail at and lose a bit of pressure, robbing you of lift at higher RPM. Hollow stem valves for better, well everything, Valve train control. I dunno. Hollow is better. The valves are also not on a standard valve angle. Compression ratio is going from 10.6 to 11.3. The cam is smaller, but also not really... The cam was specced when I generated a chart where I counted the frames of a lap video I had and noted how much of the time in % I spent at what RPM while on track at Sandown. The current cam/heads are a bit mismatched, the standard LS1 heads are the restriction to power, which is why everyone CNC's them to get a pretty solid improvement. Most of the difference between LS1->LS2->LS3 is really just better stock heads. The current cam is falling over about 600rpm earlier than it 'should' given the rest of my current setup. CNC'ing heads closes the gap with regards to heads. Aftermarket heads eliminate the gap and go further. The MMS heads go even further than that, and the heads I have in the box could quite easily be bolted to a 7.0 427ci or 454 and not be any restriction at all. Tony Mamo previously worked with AFR, designed new heads from scratch then eventually founded his own business. There he takes the AFR items and performs further wizardry, CNC'ing them and then manually porting the result. He also ports the FAST102 composite manifold: Before and after There's also an improved racing crank scraper and windage tray. Helps to keep oil in the pan. Supposedly gains 2% power. Tony also ports Melling oil pumps, so you get more oil pressure down low at idle, and the same as what you want up top thanks to a suitable relief spring. There's also the timing chain kit with a Torrington bearing to make sure the cam doesn't have any thrust. Yes I'll post a before and after when it all eventually goes together. It'll probably make 2kw more than a setup that would be $15,000 cheaper :p
    • Because the cars wheels are on blocks, you slide under the car.   Pretty much all the bolts you touched should have been put in, but not fully torque up.   Back them off a turn or two, and then tighten them up from under the car with the wheels sitting on the blocks holding car up in the air.
