Diy Making Modern Use Of Your Tape Deck

Hi guys thought id stick this up incase anyone else is as bored as me.

I dont use the tape deck in my bose system so i thought id make use of it a new way.

I already had the ipod cable installed but it ran passed the gearbox any always picked up annoying buzz interferance.

I appologise for the lack of pictures but i wasn't sure id even pull it off lol.

Heres what i did.

Follow these instructions to remove the head unit

Then under the head unit there is a slot that could probably fit a $2 coin through it. With some careful drilling and plier bending (and some frustration) you can fit your ipod cable through there and out of the tape slot.

Now i have a dock for my iphone in the tape deck and no interferance.

I bought an Ipod adaptor from Harvey Norman in WA in the form of a cassette tape that goes in the tape slot like a normal tape and can play music.
