So whats the deal with this thing? (see attachment)

Does this thing do much restricting? does it weigh much? should i remove it and replace it with a straight pipe? is my car going to be too loud if i get rid of it and leave the factory muffler (twin tip).

that mid resonator is ssoooooo heavy..

damn heavy?? awesome.. its gonna go! :) im more interested in the weight reduction :) just hope the factory muffler still keeps the noise down. :)

i changed the rear muffler first, had a nice note to it. made it a little louder

then i changed the mid one, and the car was a lot louder. but not so loud that the wife and mother complain........

so what im saying is the mid muffler does a fair bit!

Off Topic, but I just gotta say that I love how you gauge the success of your modifications Iain.

If the wife's boobs hurt when in the car. You soften it suspension as that is the gauge of it being too hard.

If no complaints about the exhaust volume, it is fine to stay.

I guess it is all about knowing the threshold of the mrs, eh? :)

Weighs a shit load. Find V35 midpipe (Or 350Z and add 7 inches, or thereabouts) Rip out old one, put in new light resonator. Win.

Sounds better, flows better, is shitloads lighter.

Got my 350Z midpipe for the best price - free.
