Time to clear out the shed and getting rid of all the GT-R parts I have collected over the years. I have the following available:

First up is a complete cylinder head with plenum, exhaust manifilds, cam covers, basically everything is there to bolt up to a block. Fuel injectors, coil packs, crank angle sensor and turbos are all that's missing to make it a complete top end. This head has undergone some major custom work by Racepace Motorsport and is basically a one off. It has been reconditioned with new valves and most importantly has had some port work which resulted in valuable gains. The power came on earlier and also benefited from top end aswell. This costed me a considerable amount of coin so those of you who are after a basic head need not apply. The head uses standard cams which worked really well with the modifications to the head and also benefits from keeping the engine sounding and idling standard, good for keeping away unwanted attention. This head came off my car which had done around 500kms of street driving, I have not used this on the track, so basically it's like new. It also has Racepace adjustable cam gears(500kns old).

PRICE: $3200 ono for everything mentioned above...

Xforce stainless split dumps suit R32, R33 and R34 GTR, used but have no cracks, in very good condition.

PRICE: $300 ono

Series 3 GT-R gearbox with transfer case. This gearbox was rebuilt with new bearings and series 3 synchros and has done approx 2000kms. The transfer case has been modified by Racepace Motorsport to give extra torque to the front wheels. Made a big difference on the track as the car had much more stomp out of the slower corners. It had fresh redline oil put in it when it got rebuilt.

PRICE: $2750 ono

Cusco front adjustable upper control arms suit R33 and R34 GTR only. These have been modified by Racepace Motorsport to improve turn in. Can achieve -3.5 degrees of camber using standard lower control arms. Used but in very good condition.

PRICE: $450 ono

TEIN Circuit Master RS coilovers suit R33/34 GT-R's only. These were revalved and rebuilt to Racepace's custom specifications, and has also custom spring seats to accomodate custom springs. They are a worthy investment for any track orientated car. They are also an awesome package for the street, not that harsh of a ride considering how good they are for the track. I have done a 1:18.7 at Sandown with this setup so definetly worth the money.

PRICE: $4250 ono

R33 GTR short motor, includes N1 water pump (near new), oil pump, balancer, crank, rods and pistons. Was compression tested before being removed from car and was down on 2 cylinders. Its a standard bottom end and the block has not been machined. Ideal for someone wanting to rebuild an engine on the side without having their car off the road.

PRICE: $850 ono

R34 GTR standard sump and diff. Came off an engine that had done 72000kms. In very good condition.

PRICE: $800 ono

Standard RB26 cylinder head out of an R33 GTR, has been crack tested and is OK, suit reco, no cams, cam covers, valves, springs, shims, retrainers. Bare head only but has had a dash fitting pressed in for oil drain at the rear. Has slight markings on journals as pictured below.

Currently all items are located in Narre Warren North in VIC, but will post items interstate at buyer's expense.

PM or reply here if interested.

Cheers,

Hey mate.

Interested in the block and bare head.

Does the block come with windage trays and crank girdle?

What does the crank look like? Any damaged big end bearings? Able to reuse the crank without linishing?  Brad

Hey Brad,

Yeah mate, windage tray and crank girdle are all there. Basically only the head and sump were removed.

This was a running engine before pulled out of the car. Was down on compression on two cylinders but after removing the head could not see any damage to the rings so not sure why it had low compression. There is no damage to the crank or bearings.

Are you in Melbourne? If so you are more than welcome to have a look.

Cheers,

Jack

Am I reading correctly. $4250 for second hand coils?

Yep, if you want stuff from racepace, you'd better open your wallets as they aren't cheap.

Best of luck in selling your stuff jack, and you gotta take me a ride in your GTR!

Anything to do with GTR's ain't cheap!!!!!

These coil overs are not off the shelf items, in fact they are discontinued and not available new anymore. They have been totally rebuilt and customized to be exceptional on the track aswell as on the street.

I understand that they are not for everybody, but those in the know will vouch for their performance and the price that goes with it....

More PM's replied.

Cheers,

Jack

No, unfortunately I am in Brisbane, hence the 20 questions.

Would you consider delivering the engine to a courier depot (would need to be on some sort of palet that they can forklift)?

Or better yet organise transport to brisbane?

Brad

Edited by Just_a_datsun

Hey Brad,

Putting it on a pallet and sending it up to you will not be an issue.

Can you send Private Messages yet? I think you need more than 5 posts.

If you can send me your email address I can send you photos and more info.

Cheers,

Jack

    • Unfortunately haven’t taken pics yet after it was finished. All the edges are hemmed nicely, just had to cut holes for the gear shifter and seat bolts and seat belt bolts in the rear. The molds seem like they’re done with steam and a layer of glue on the underside to hold a bit of shape but still soft enough that it’s a good fit when it’s all pressed down.
    • When's the rear mounted turbo kit coming? Needs dose and V8 chop idle lol.
    • I was very unimpressed with how the car came up from the A pillar forward, before I hit things (twice). It all has to go. It had to go, but now it has to go... more. So we finally found the very first Shennanigans with the entirely perfectly setup engine that had no problems being pulled apart to improve on 'was perfectly fine'. Cam bearings looked a bit... stock. Which isn't entirely bad given they were stock and this is a ~20 year old engine. So new cam bearings are on the way because it's somewhat difficult to get to this stage to do it later, and it will trash the block. It was quite unusual that it wasn't done when the perfectly new-looking VCM cam was originally installed by [unknown] What IS unusual is the cam that was installed there was advanced SIX degrees. As to why there is no way to know.. however it could have been @Dose Pipe Sutututu's mate who wanted a larger cam sound but also wanted it to come on earlier to be more usable. This is my dyno sheet with the previous setup - This cam is not supposed to peak until 7000+ RPM, according to VCM. This is what lead me down the whole 'my heads/intake setup is running out of puff and can't support the cam' line of thinking to begin with. Anyway too late now - New cam is in! It could be rather funny if this smaller cam acts like a larger cam because it isn't advanced six degrees. In the spirit of everything is working amazingly - the COMP cam required no dialling in whatsoever. It was about 0.5 degrees advanced, which seems pretty bang on. Any adjustment either way would be further out. I'm told as a chain breaks in it ends up regarding back about 0.5 a degree as the chain breaks in, making it bang on. In the spirit of everything was previously working amazingly - The timing gear that was taken out turned out to be was an N-Motion double timing chain kit, with adjustable cam gear (which is how it was 6 degrees advanced) and all looks entirely perfectly new. It also had a Torrington bearing, which was one of the reasons I ended up getting the Cloyes kit which they used in the C5R 24 hour racecar - Because I couldn't confirm what was in the engine when talking to Tony Mamo. I did believe however it was a Double chain kit of some kind... but found no supporting documentation or evidence for it.
    • I recently did this to my R33 with the full set from Car Mats Direct, they can't do the vinyl anymore that's advertised on the website due to a supplier issue so I ended up with the Black Loop Pile which looks great. I went all out with rubber sound deadening sheets from Repco and also added the sound deadening foam layer option with the carpet. Makes a world of difference and got rid of all the weird smells in the 29 year old interior. It was a bit of work but I'd 100% recommend it, Car Mats Direct had awesome customer service and quick postage. Replaced my seats with some sporty ones from Autotechnia while I was at it, feels like a new car.
