find one of djr's sierras. those things left the pom racing teams scratching their heads!

600hp+ from 2L in the '80s - independantly sprung 9in diff

$50000 for a race-able piece of aus motorsport history is not too bad i spose...

I think any sort of 90's race big budget race car is out of the question for private ownership.

I think you might able to own a Commodore Group A machine like a Brock Commodore but wouldn't V8 Supercars be stretching the bounds of maintenance?

Surely one can buy Formula Fords and Atlantics but stuff like Ford Sierras and the Group A Skylines is getting into the 'space age' in terms of materials.

meh, supercars are dirt cheap and a dime a dozen once they are no longer eligible for konicas.

the problem with a car like these is they can only "race" in historics really, unless you want to perform sacrelige and modify them to current sport sedan specs :) And....when you watch historics you'll see its more like "warm laps" than racing :(

Roy, you missed the gibson GTR and 31 last weekend....the 31 in particular is great because Rod Markland races it often :D
