I'm planning on using an aftermarket radio, Pioneer avh-p4300dvd and use USDM Steering wheel controls w/ PAC SWI, and maybe adding a bluetooth module to the pioneer, i was hoping that would allow me to use bluetooth and steering controls from the usdm spec steering control buttons and maybe through your kit add cruise control too, does that sound like it would work?

Overall the result will be like having usdm spec v35 :) retaining all the same usage of the steering wheel control, you reckon it will work chris?

the pac peice will need programming. it is also IR based so response will be slower than a direct wire item. . I have sell one that will do a plug in on the radio and auto learn the controls.

the buttons are specific and if you have the WRONG set the cruise unit I use WILL NOT work.

happy to sell you all the bits though and you can pop it all together yourself. saves pying for a full steering wheel. I have a car to do in the morning that is getting exactly this except the radio is a clarion navi.

I'm running the (factory) Japanese audio controls with the PAC SWI-PSv1

(Head unit is a Sony XAV-72BT - Sony and Pioneer use the same PAC kit)

Install is pretty straight forward (though it will be harder for you obviously, but you only connect 3 wires from the standard controls to the PAC interface ( green and red with the resistor values that are marked in the kit, I believe it was 47 ohm and 150 ohm)

Yellow wire goes to ground, and then the PAC interface needs a ground and switched 12 volts

The one I am using plugs in directly to the back of the head unit
