+1 to this, takeaway would be comming form all diffrent directions

Don't we feel the least sorry for Eagle Boys/Domino/Crust for making 1000s of pizzas each night for people who'll never pay? And what about the "GTFO"s that the delivery boys cop + the fuel they use up?

At least pay me decent money to take my 'good book' to read to her! And after I smash her in the face with it you'll all identify her with the embossed title on her forehead that reads,...

"ELBIB YLOH EHT"

Very bad luck, Geoff. And kudos to you for maintaining a level head. If it was me, I wouldn't be so 'kind'.

I have a next door neightbour who is sounds exactly like the woman who vandalised your car. She thinks it is her "right" to have the two spots outside her house as hers, although she never parks outside. We have had incedents of vandalism for years - from raw fish inside cars to broken mirrors, antennas, glass, and scratches/keying.Oh, and one incident of acid sprayed over the fence onto a new 4WD.

Funny thing is these incidents only happen when cars are parked outside her place, not mine, and only to our cars.

Some serious security cameras and a a few words to the streets gossiper and surprisingly the incidents stopped immediately. :D

Charlie thanks for the offer mate, unfortunately.. I'm sure it would get vandalised too. As a boatie myself (was actually fishing in Pittwater at the time) it would hurt to see that happen :)

The people we know in the street have already been told what happened, one of them is the neighbourhood gossip so word WILL spread. I can only hope she got a bit of a surprise when the police turned up to question her, might make her think twice next time.

Dave there are plenty of things I'd love to do.. this cow is exceptionally lucky I have the level of restraint that I do.

Sorry to hear Geoff....how are you going gettting it fixed.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news but unless the cops can nail it too her your shit out of luck on this one :(

spot on. the same company made us pay an excess after a taxi hit the z while parked, even though we gave them and the police the number plate of the cab that did it.

Sorry to hear Geoff....how are you going gettting it fixed.

fixed everything besides the AM/FM antenna but I've got one waiting to go on, just ran out of time. By luck I found a silver pair of mirrors right away, they needed some minor repair work to get the folding action going again but all sorted now.

the doors also need a polish, there are some scuff marks from where the mirrors hit the paintwork. passenger side has a slight dent too but i'll live with it for now. basically all sorted :)

cheers dunc, sucks about the z. mongrels.

    • Oh, and only having done this task yesterday, I've now driven the car ~60km since, and while it is hard to avoid placebo effect and confirmation bias, I reckon that some annoyances I had with the way the car has been behaving have improved. Which....kinda makes sense, I guess. If the bushes were really stiff and resisting rotation, they would have been contributing to the effective wheel rate. And if it was more so on one side (which it was, because one side was worse than the other) then.... you might imagine that the additional rate would be asymmetric, and potentially even different between compression and rebound. And so... the car has been twitchy at higher speeds - like freeway on ramps. It really shouldn't be. The wheel alignment is good and there are no (other) known problems elsewhere in the suspension. But at 90-100 on a long sweeping ramp, tiny steering wheel motions would make it feel like it wanted to rear steer. Quite nervous. At lower speeds it would heave about in a manner that it didn't use to. Didn't want to put power down, etc etc. Now...seems to behave better. Am going to have to concentrate on the various corners where it has exhibited weirdness, on the rare occasions when I can get a decent run at them without Methanial getting in the way in his D-Max/Ranger/LDV Van/etc.
