gain performance through exhost?

easy mate, just make the piping as big as possible, 2.5" has been suggested cos its just too expensive to buy enough metal to make 5" piping. bigger piping = tons of air flying right through.

also sticking a whopping great big cannon will make your cars exhaust system be just as powerful as what the name suggests - A CANNON

your skyline will now fly

Why'd you have to correct yourself Jonno, would have been a mad troll to see a post in a few weeks showing a vid with this guys 5 inch piping on his NA.

i wasnt actually trolling, its for real, i just wanted to keep the 5" piping secret to myself so I can claim to have the fastest n/a around .. i discovered it by accident

just went on a dyno, my n/a skylinewith 5" piping made 300 rwkw ... imagine if I could afford 10" piping.

metals getting ridiculously expensive these days, especially mild steel or stainless steel for exhausts.

my secret was to melt all my mums cooking pots and pans, and just get a whopping great big PVC tube to use as the shape of the exhaust, and i just coated that in the melted steel with some baking paper underneath

when it hardened, just slid the metal tube right off (non stick baking paper!) , and there was my stainless steel exhaust system, took an empty milo can for a muffler

and hey presto, the car now breathes great and almost 300rwkw on the dyno

unfortunately now we dont have any pots or pans to cook with and we cant afford new ones with metal being so expensive

might remelt the exhaust system to make some cooking pots and just use the PVC tube as the exhaust?

baaahahahaha, if i could be bothered i'd sig that for the lulz

good idea mate, its always best to improvise, the gains you can get from being resourceful is amazing sometimes.

dont know how these aftermarket companies are still surviving when a $5 tin of milo which also gives u a very enjoyable drink gives you just as much performance as a $200 muffler - which is also basically a milo tin .. just shiny and with a brand name on it lol?

Just gets me so worked up when I see all these branded companies ripping off people who dont know any better, if I hadnt discovered this secret by accident I would have spent thousands on exhaust sytems and stuff

glad I could inform everyone else how to make a good exhaust system for cheap though!

perhaps they will stop asking about exhaust systems now that such an ideal one is available for almost nothing thumbsup.gif

Jonno, what's your verdict on say... Nescafe Blend 43 as apposed to the Milo? and do you reckon the extra 33% Blend 43 will give you 33% extra power gain, or is that just the big brand names using marketing gimmicks again? :D

Not too sure about power mate, but I think the leftover coffee aroma will be great in a muffler, the air coming from your exhaust will recirculate into the lucky guy behind you, who will get a pleasant coffee scent. imagine if we got the whole world doing this!

Coffee has a stronger smell than milo so I think you'll definitely see massive gains in aroma there, just not too sure if its worth the price difference .. is the tin about the same size as the milo one?

if you're after aroma you could probably just get home brand coffee. that extra 33% is probably more like 3% ... marketing gimicks i tell you
