Was that fun or what!

My voice is now totally gone though haha.

I would like to thank all the execs who helped out, also a HUGE thanks to PJ, HOTR33, Cassbo, GTRsean, mr moo, cpd, also the bloke with the black ute (sorry didn't catch your name) for making today what it was! Sorry if I missed anyone!

So let's see pics, videos-whatever :D

No, thank YOU (and all the officials) for organising. Sorry I didn't say goodbye Steve, but you were busy on the track. =-]

My second time to Texi, and it was a TOTAL blast! =-D

lol, how nice of you!

Mate thats cool, it's hard to say hi and bye to everyone on days like this - if im not getting stuff done nothing happens so yeah :)

Not long till the next one, I think you're entered already?!

The starlet footage needs to be sped up with some Bennie Hill music.

I can picture it now, *cue benny hill song*

starlet does it's run, a couple of london constables hop out of the hatch at the end & starts chasing the car, then they start running in the opposite direction with the starlet chasing them

MAKE IT HAPPEN NEXT TEXI

Darn right mate! On the list, and I *may* have enthused another mate who has a BMW that he is keen to do some skids in. =-D

The R34 goes well sean, thanks for the heli's.

BTW my mouth has never been more full of tyre bits and grit in all my life lol.

Thanks Sean, yeah +1 on the grit!!, had to vac out the car!

Also, it was running on 15psi as the new boost controller ain't set up yet!!

Are the times gonna be posted up?

I'm also keen for times!!

Here's a vid my mate put together after playing with a few GoPro locations. Sorry but it's all of my car whistling.gif

It is heaps easier having a navigator in the car, I have the memory of an infant goldfish at the best of times...

    • OK. But what about parts of the block that, when assembled, were twisted into a position that pushed into the void space, which, when disassembled, then released that force and opened back up, thus putting the grout into tension? Would effectively just pull the cast iron off the grout at the interface, leaving a tiny void and benefitting not much at all. Swings, and roundabouts. It's like putting something tiny into the fleshlight and finding out you needed a smaller one, to perhaps follow your area of expertise.
    • Nah. You buy a kit that has shorter tubes.
    • I didnt present too many conclusions because I wanted your opinions and feedback based on your own experiences. I don't know the exact material, but it is similar to concrete and therfor only has valuable strength in compression. The forces on the set material once the head is removed would mostly be in compression since the grout wants to retain its shape and the block wants to return to its relaxed state since it's still within the elastic region. The grout would theoretically make the block more rigid. The exact amount would take a better setup on my end. Thought experiment: Instead of aliens, twist your favorite fleshlite. Now fill it with grout and allow it to sit for a week. Now try to twist it again. Observe what you see. Now get your other one and blow into it. Observe what you see. Now put it into a can and fill the space between your fleshlite and the can. After it sets blow into it. Less movement in torsion and less expansion i hope.
