hey guys,

anyone purchused this turbo kit before? im some what interested in getting it.. connects to all stock oem parts etc... but read the customer feedback and one has been sold in the past and guy said never turned up?? also the rear housing on the turbo is oem rb 6 bolt flange did garret make these or is it something dodgy?

Dunno but a real Garrett 3076 is only about $2000 - presumably this kit contains a knock-off.

Looks like a genuine Garrett but those manifolds are crap. Your call really but it looks to be about 2k worth of parts being sold for $2600.00.

Dealing with them at the moment, I'd say reliability needs to improve before they can be seen as a 'far better bet'.

yeah gonna say the manifold looks like cheap crap... streettotrack ill have a look on there site do they sell the same turbo on there with 6 bolt rear flange?

Don't buy one with the stock bolt pattern rear. Get a genuine Garrett housing otherwise you might as well buy a GCG hiflow direct bolt on, Hypergear semi-bolt on, or RB25 specific HKS turbo GT-RS or 2835ProS/Kai.

They never make the power the compressor is capable of making so you get a penalty of the larger mass wheel with none of the upside.

A GT3076 on a manual stagea might be a docile off the line (due to the weight of the stagea) so for me I would choose something a bit smaller if you are using it on the street. It will still be a very nice bit of gear to drive if you want the extra headroom.

On my R33 a GT30 based turbo is a good thing but the weight of the car is so much lower.

you can get a gt3076 or so called gt30r brand new for $1400 if you know where to buy. Not fake either
