I have a rb30 with a series 1 rb25det head vct. Have welded head and have done the internal vct feed. Blocked front oil restrictor and 1.5 restrictor in rear. I have a couple of questions. First of I'll be using the motor for torque more than power as it's in a 4wd. Will not be reved over 6 grand. What I need to no is what would be the best setup for this. I need turbo manifold, wiring loom and computer. What would people suggest for this setup. I have searched but as this is for a 4wd and not a drag car it is different

i'd suggest running both oil feeds if your using an internal feed for vct, especially if your not revving it much. in standard form the vct has its own 1.5mm feed and the 25 head has 2 x 1.5mm feeds, so a single 1.5mm for all 3 wouldnt be ideal.

a standard 25 or 30 oil pump will be fine for a mild 4wd setup.

a small highflow turbo would probably be perfect for 4wding, even a standard turbo if your not after any more than 180rwkw.

use a 25det loom and an ecu to suit a 25det

Except for turbo selection; As above. A STD turbo or even a hi-flow will run out of puff before 5k and would drastically restrict exhaust flow. Look at a turbo in the 450-550hp range. I use a gt3076r and is perfect for response, wide power range and heaps of torque. STD manifold will do the job, to keep costs down. Rb25 loom and any plug-in rb25 ecu. That should see you make over 250rwkw.
