Hi,

Looking at getting some ID 725's for my car. I understand they are top fed, and mine are side fed stock. I dont want to get Nismo/Sards etc.

I have searched through here, and found a few people using top feed injectors with a custom/aftermarket rail.

Could someone please advise on:

1) Injector Dynamics Injectors work on R33 RB25det?

2) What fuel Rail? R34 GTT?

Bear in mind im running the stock plenum, with no intention for a ffp in future as im only looking for 300kw.

Thanks.

you haven't really thought this through have you?

Why not nismo?

By the time you replace the fuel rail, the extra cost will have been spent getting the nismos.

Also, are you sure that top fed injectors are going to fit?

Why not just high flow the standards to 700cc?

I have thought this through.

Thats the thing - If the cost of the fuel rail is too high, then I'll flog it and go for Nismo/Sard etc.

I can get Top feed rail for my engine, but I need to know whether anyone has used Injector Dynamics on their R33 before

I have looked at Hi flowing, but then the question comes in - How reliable is it going to be. I have heard people hi flowing their stockers and putting on new V pattern caps.

My engines done 126k so far.

ID's are just an injector - made by Bosch, so why not just buy Bosch ones :)

People use the 1000, 2000 etc.

I cannot see the 725 being show stoppingly different mate. It's just all the custom that goes with for a 25 is the sticking point of it all.

I reckon Nismo's would work out easier and almost close to the same price?

Used sets come up in the FS area all the time too, just get them flow tested before installing and off you go!

I can get ID's for at least $400 cheaper when compared to Nismo's. Fuel rails are cheap as, just need to see whether the whole combo will work.

I did buy a 2nd hand set of injectors (subaru 450cc) but they didnt flow well enough, so im a bit weary of either decapping the stock ones I have, or getting 2nd hand ones.

Keep em coming ppl :D

Further to this, R34 Gtt Neo's use the Nissan top feed injectors. I have seen drop in replacement 480cc Nismo ones, but these are not big enough.

Are there any drop in replacements for the neo motor?

I have heard the injector dynamics injectors are quite good, but looks like the rail etc needs to be replaced.

Does the sidefeed r33 rb25 rail bolt in? Id much rather use a side feed rail and some Nismo 740cc injectors.

ID's do fit RB25 S2 (Neo) engines. I saw a set installed on Monday night, took the owner about 30 mins and it used the stock rail. He put in ID1000's with new plugs - took him longer to get to the injectors than it did to do the swap and wiring. Silly top plenum thingy.

Yes, the ID's are THAT much better than the usual Japanese injectors. Driven back to back it's obvious.

This question gets asked a lot . There is much mucking around to convert side feed to top feed and that comes at some cost . If you add this cost to whatever injector ie IDs you're looking at and the cost is comparable just go with direct fit side feeds like Nismos . They fit and work the same as standard ones and aside from colour look factory standard too . I think the only time I'd go to top feed was if I was going to run a GReady type inlet manifold and it was a permanent thing .

Buy fit forget .
