Hey guys,

(yeah, sorry, we were all young once)

I bought this bike about 2 years 8 months ago with just under 9000 km's on her. In the time I've had her about another 4000 have been slapt on, so please don't think this has been a daily thrasher. She has only been ridden on sunny weekends and never as a 'track weapon'. It would be stupid to say that I have never opened her up, it is a sports bike, but it would be all I am against to say she is thrashed.

If I can add anything else, don't be shy and ask away. Am after a reasonably quick sale, so price is negotiable, just don't be a lowballer. Am looking to give her a good home.

John

REGARDING SWAPS - A car of interest would be a later model 180SX, or more preferable, a R32 GTR/Nice 34GT-T. Car would preferably come with a RWC, and would be better if it was a more local car (ie - VIC). Please, no 'Sik R33 that I raced my cuz in, brah, I totally smashed him!' type requests, I have allready owned a modded R33 GTS-t, and do not wish to own another one.

Anyway, if you have something up for offer, send me a message and I will surely check it out. I have a good bit of cash on the side if something nice comes up.

geraus,

nice cars bro. I had a S1 R33 GTs-T pretty much the same as the silver one, except black with a plazaman intake, kazaa 2 way diff and a GT-35r, and yours kinda reminds me off my old one. Except I think I'd have a lot less trouble getting a RWC with mine .

I don't know if the R1 is what you would be looking for at the end of the day though man. Compared to a 250 Ninja, it would be like upgrading your Skyline to a McLaren F1, and please don't think thats an overstatement. It is a stupid, scary bike, that shouldn't have been made, let alone doing the little things I have done to make it even faster.

Still not sure why people mod the likes of R1's.

There are probably only a small handful of people in Australia that can extract anything like them on the race track.

Anyone even trying to approach limits in the street are crazy. And as far as opening it up in a straight line... man... last time I rode an r1 and tried to get it off the line it was more a challange of keeping the print wheel anywhere near the ground.

Anyway, sweet bike. I always loved the yellow Kenny Roberts theme that yamaha released. My fav R1 of all time.

I'm sure it will find a good home.

Swoopdown -

Kinda the same when it comes to high end cars, I guess it's just bragging rights at the end of the day. But unlike cars, when it comes to supersports (even in standard trim), it all comes down to the skill of the rider, very rarely the bike itself. I still am quite baffled why they even make bikes like these, I know for a fact I could lose my license for a long time just giving her a go in first gear alone, let alone the top speed I have reached on her.

EAT26 -

Love the GTR, mate. Absolutely love it, everything that I would be looking for in a GTR. But the problem is the distance between us still, and I would be afraid to ask how much cash you would want thrown your way. I have a budget of $12000 - $15000 on top of the bikes value, and I get the general feeling I would be a little short on what you want.

Why is it everyone that has actually sent me an offer with something I want lives in the state where I used to live only a year ago. The military really does suck sometimes...

RAFFY -

Nice example of a 33 GTST mate. Looks clean for what you have done to it. I have owned 9 bikes in my life so far, and this has been one of the most reliable, balls-to-the-wall bikes I have ever owned. Gets a lot of attention from everyone on base here and cruising around, yet I have only ever been pulled up once for a RBT. Definately beats the SWAT teams I had to dodge everytime I took my old Skyline out for a spin.

Id be looking at about 17-18 on top of the bikes value with it sitting on the exact 9500.00 that you have on it already.

Yeah interstate selling is always an issue, but ride it up drive back ;):P hahaha all you need to do is deregister the bike or deregister when it gets back down south and then I deregister the car and you drive it down on a permit to travel interstate.

If your interested I will help what ever way I can other than the price lol. I have spent quite abit this year alone on the old girl.

Hey Raffy, yeah I got your message, it's just still a bit too difficult for my liking sorry.

Time is a big thing with me, as I work atleast 5 days a week, and generally do cashies with mechanical repairs on cars or electrical work on homes for many of the blokes here on base on that spare day. Plus I think I have -(negative)0.934 days leave or something up my sleeve, so I can't even get any time off till Christmas, where in I have to go back home (Queensland), so I just can't find it feasible to work around those constraints sorry.

For everyone else though.....

But, in breaking news, BUMP

    • As far as I know, Infiniti stopped importing vehicles before 2020, even though they were still selling their stock for at least a year or 2 after that, they were older build years, therefore, you can import a 2020 400R, because you couldn't buy an AuDM 2020 built Q50 RS. As for insurance, you might need to go through one of the enthusiast insurance companies, they tend to insure a lot more grey import models than the mainstream insurers as Duncan mentioned.
    • loved seeing the zenvo on the a1 just after the hatfield tunnel i was the guy in the white van trying to egg you on it sounded awesome and those exhausts glowing red inside insane cheers for the thumbs up tim and tom.
    • So.... when I'm finally getting around to having my power steering leak sorted, now it looks like I've got the same issue most A/T Skylines are having. My A/T light will randomly come on and I'm stuck in 3rd gear until I turn the car off and on again. Only 3 weeks ago I did a complete transmission service: Oil flush + new gasket + new filter. This came out of nowhere!! It wasn't like the car was driven hard. I drove about 3 mins down the road to get fuel and boom!!!  Anyway, I have a few questions and hope you fine people can help me out here. All questions are in red. 1. The solenoids: I was looking at the parts catalogue in Amayama and I could only find the Solenoids as an assembly. https://www.amayama.com/en/part/nissan/319404ax05 I read in another thread that Solenoid A = 31940-4AX02 & Solenoid B = 31940-4AX05 but the Amayama product has only the code of B. Is this the right part? Can anyone who has done the Solenoid changes or seen them confirm if this is the complete set of A & B?   2. Gasket and Filter: I'm not going to try change the solenoids myself because it seems difficult to do in a home garage with just 2 jack stands. I plan to take it to a shop and get it changed. I was also going to buy the transmission sump gasket at the same time so I don't reuse the same gasket. Should I just use the existing gasket as it has only been on the car since OCT 19th? (~3 weeks) Should I be buying a brand-new gasket and a filter? Does this job involve taking the filter out?   Thanks in advance to everyone. It's hard to find a video of someone doing a solenoid change on a R34 so any help you can give answering my remaining questions would make me less stressed.
    • Yea - From what I have seen from the video, the car idles like any R34 lol 50PSI of fuel pressure is hardly super abnormal, the regulator is working because the pressure remains static when the throttle gets revved, i.e pressure remains the same when manifold vaccuum changes. Bigger pumps on stock rails always bumped the pressure in the rail without using an aftermarket regulator to change that. Do you know what your IAC is actually doing? Has there been any data showing the stepper motor % etc? There's no way your idle is actually moving around the way the cluster(s) are indicating. You would hear the difference with the engine RPM flying to 3k and 1k in mere seconds. I'd be checking the wiring to the tacho. What the tacho is telling you and what the engine/ecu is telling you are different things. I assume your ECU doesn't display the spike. So whatever is telling the tacho to be at X rpm is doing something weird. When the going gets insane, you're on the wrong path. You've ruled out plenty of things that are working correctly/aren't the issue. Your idle isn't doing what the tacho is indicating. You have two seperate issues, I don't think they are linked, and the idle seems reasonably okay unless it's stalling which.. well, it hasn't. Troubleshoot the stall if it occurs by figuring out what your IAC is doing vs what it is being told to do.
    • So awesome! I love the RB with the exhaust on display.
