Really another one? FFS seriously what is the world coming too. With the amount of imports getting stolen/burnt i think multiple kill switches is in order!

Sorry for you misfortune champ. Hope you get it back in one piece for your sake!

Ouch not another one. Sorry to ask the obivious question mate but did you have a working alarm/immobilizer/club lock etc?

Glad mine isn't running atm. Hope you find your ride quick and without too much damage.

Well one positive is the uncommon factor of the paint. I live in flinders park but I have not seen this car around; I will now be looking for it.

The theft of these cars seems to be predominant in the western suburbs but the increasing amount of cars stolen highlights the need to do everything we can to stop it from happening to us. Thats why I have alarm, imobilliser, club-lock, full comprehensive insurance, car behind roller gate and roller door, rev limit set to 1500rpm, keys and documentation in well hidden area, automatic light, recording camera linked to television, car in view from bedroom window and two dogs. If theives can get past all of these, I will shoot them with my crossbow, then ring 000.

I recommend all people who love their rides to follow all these precautions, except for the crossbow! That is just something I am prepared/trained to do if someone comes into my yard and wants my car more than I do..

Hope you get your 33 back the way you left it mate

Those wheel clamp type locks the police use for impounding your car should be made available to the public--I'm sure one of them would really slow a thief down and be a deterrent and be easy to carry on your boot etc and fit to your car overnight?I haven't looked closely at one but from what iv seen they'd be a deterrent--but that said if someone wants something bad enough they usually find a way of getting it..alternatively matty with his crossbow on speed dial :P

there called a DENVER Boot, I know I grew up where they invented them, along with Lidar, the laser the police use.

you can't over ride the boots without a torch and most likely burn the car as well. but its the last thing you want to drag around in your car !!!!

common sense !!! , would you leave your most valuable item(your baby) out for everyone to see and fondle ? that stops most stolen cars alone if you think a second first ?

a multi layered security used 100% of the time even if your 10 steps from the car. set the alarm. ADR approved of course

full comprehesive insurance BEFORE you take the car home on the first day. if you can't afford to insure it.... you can't afford the car !!! now it drives up the rates everytime a skyline is stolen insured or not !!!

then you can go with Biometric scanners(eyes or fingers, facial), RFID(the tags like stores use to make sure your not stealing crap and also used in new keyless cars ) , GPS/3G trackers, etc. not many people know how to install that stuff here but I can point you in the right direction, if your interested ?

really it comes down to another problem, laws dont punish car theft harsh enough ?????

Yeah, and a crossbow.

oh man, not another one, and they're getting closer to my area too :( I hope you get it back in good condition Ben, hopefully the rather unique colour will help.

I hate parking mine out in the driveway overnight, but sometimes there's just too many bike parts covering the garage floor to get it back in...
