I'm sure most people on here are familiar with the car at the start of transporter 1. my question is regarding the car, when he gets in the car he has a security system with a PIN code which from what i can see, cuts out the power for the car and i was wondering if there if actually such a thing that exists/is available for purchase?

yes, i have one in each of my GTRs, there $300 -$400 fitted and cut three points( same as a normal alarm just with no siren), just not as fancy as the one in transporter just a key pad you enter a code into, some of the WRXs had to have them fitted as factory so they could get insurence, thanks to the ram raiders

They offer three point immobilization, auto-arms itself after you shut off the car, and has a handy valet mode (disables the unit temporarily - if someone drives the car for more than 15 minutes, next time the car is turned off, it automatically re-arms and requires a pin).

It typically is installed to operate completely independently of your regular alarm, giving you an extra layer of security. For the cost, it's probably not bad value in terms of the extra layer of protection.

thanks for all the help, is there any models that go from 0-9 instead of just 1-5, and is there any guides on fitting them?

there are lots better options available, RFID, Biometric ?

most house alarms arm based on 12V , so yes they make keypads with the digits you require. keypads automatic pin point a weak point in the alarm. they can follow the wires right back in ???

magnetic latching relays ?

RFID is 100% hidden. and you can make your car keyless.and just put in a start button..haha the keys stay in your pocket

Actually they cannot follow the wires back to the alarm module with the Sanji model. The wires on the keypad just go to +power and -earth and the communication link between the keypad and the keypad immobiliser module is done via these wires. They are from South Africa and so they have already thought of that about 5 years ago. Autowatch have a new version keypad immobiliser which incorporates a numeric remote control which you enter your pin number into and press send, which disarms the miniature immobiliser. The actual immobiliser is so small it can be concealed within a wiring harness.

Fyi :The sanji alarm is now wireless keypad , because people traced wires back !!!

But like a ATM cash machine I could sit back and use my long range camera lens to watch you input the code since it lights up at night ?? Too easy to get past

Keypad is out of date tech for low cost oem cars

Any decent installer should be able to foil even the best crims by mis information , alarms hooked to nothing ? The real one is hidden behind so many panels and even the keyswitch can be faked ??

And one the pressurize the abs brakes while armed ??

So much is possible it boggles the mind and wallet. Lol

Mind you this isn't a day job to install
