Concerned about turbo - on it's way out?

Hey people

I have an R33 GTS-t standard turbo running 0.8 bar most of the time (EBC)

Recently when in a high(er) gear under load but below max boost (so somewhere around 2000 rpm) the turbo (or induction side, at least) is making a RPM dependant ticking - i.e as it spools.

I don't know if this goes away when at 0.8 bar (as the exhaust noise means I can't hear anything else).

Does this sound terminal? I have a track day on the 18th of April and don't really want it to go BANG then....

ticking sound like an exhaust leak>? Check dump pipe nuts tightness. turbo side and front pipe side

does it do it when you turn the boost down ?

Sweetr33 - that could be it because when the dump was fitted, the flange was not faced properly

Cameron - I'll give it a go
