for 70k I can think of a few cars I would rather have over a 20 year old GTR

Eg Brand new FPV F6 = 60k drive away + 10k in mods = GTR left behind

lol your drunk arnt ya, you reckon you could have 70k worth of gtr and a New FPV would leave it behide..... mate your off your head, i paid 20k for my nismo edition, if i spent 50k on it, there wouldnt be anything sub 500k that would have a chance on leaving it behide, in street trim a gtr with the right mods and abit of money spent, is the ultimate street car, the motive DVD drag challenge prove's it time and time again, 50k on a gtr will get you well into the 10sec mark, and theres not many FPV or HSV that will run those times in street trim, i mean 18inch wheels nice sounds system, the lot.

i raced a FPV F6 with a exhaust and a chiped ecu, and ate it up with my baby 300rwkw.... i would have blowin his windows out with 400-450kw..... think about it

Just like people go on and on about how good R35s are....I still hate the f**king things

I have mixed feelings on those actually, when it first came out i hated it

its starting to grow on me though

i wonder what car I'd get for R35 money ... tongue.gif

oh and a V8 turbo cortina.... dude that would be lucky to have powersteering let alone, climate control A/c and a decent sterio... we are taking about street cars, cars you can get into and drive from NSW to QLD comfortably. Not drag cars with bodged up pink slips that they got from there mate down the road, a number plate, and to run any time worth taking about they need front runners and a Drag tyres be it radials or slicks....

LOL at some of the comments in the this thread...

Firstly i'd like to say that there are few differences between a JDM 6 and JDM 6.5, there is more difference between a ADM 6.5 though... but still negligible differences unless your using it on the track for its entire life.

After driving the evo around, ive done about 2,000k's or so... i have to say i love it even more.

its faults are that it feels very delicate, you have to be finesse with it, take the right line or its just not that great... having said that, as soon as you do take the right line, throw the weight the right way, it feels like its on rails, absolutely love the thing, although i have to say im still learning how to drive the damn thing, you can easily see why there a favourable car to have on the track.

turning circle is crap, which you really only notice doing u-turns as i believe they have tight steering ratios to compensate for this, as it definitely feels that way.

its a 35litre fuel tank, which sucks if you go for long drives, which luckily i dont, in saying that its tight gear ratios means you really shouldnt be driving this car all that much on freeways anyway. but its good having it so small i suppose if your a poorpa like me 30$ and your over half way :D also means fuel doesnt have that much space to splash around in for when your fangin it.

it comes with awesome features which you really wouldnt expect on a street car but because of WRC regs so tight which meant production cars had to be so similar... = evo's are awesome.

fuel tank is outside/under the boot, awesome for stripped interior, shit for when you have to change the fuel pump.

no filler neck restrictor, so its easier to fill petrol.

cabin is very practical... plus so much more little things, plus things im still yet to notice, as im sure there's more but i cant think of now off the top of my head.

Thats all i can really remember to report on for now... would recommend an evo 6 for anyone thats looking for a really well rounded sports car with this amount of money to spend, only if you dont like bashing your cars, and can adjust your driving style.

cheers.
